Bradley and Tink great topic ;-p

I remember when i was a teenager desperately hoping that i wouldnt die a virgin, because we were told that the resurrected would be like "the angels" and wouldnt marry. hehe

I also remember being out in service and with the usual "car group gossip" if someone mentioned someone "worldly" dying there would be the usual comment " Well at least now they probably have the ressurection hope"

Fascinating isnt it? The mental gymnastics it must take to feel comfortable feeling this way. And yet we thought the same way at one time.

I think that whole judgemental attitude stinks to high heaven . I could never ascribe to that kind of mentallity . Princess di was always on the side of the little guy and was interested in helping people from what I've heard . The world needs more people like that .

When my dad died many years ago, my half brother said about him (not his biological father) that based on what he knew, he would NOT be resurrected. Elder at the time, so he would know, right?

Fast forward to two months ago, and brother is mentioning the "fact" about someone that since we are not in a judgement period, they will be resurrected. I said to him, yes, but remember that we have only believed that for a few years; before that, any who died and were not a witness or a "person of goodwill" woud not be resurrected. He gave a pained look that showed his discomfort at remembering this flip flop, and said, yes you are right, we have had light about this.

    Nice loving brother huh?

I could go on for hours about this toxic relationship.

My point is, the Witness view of death and Armageddon is subject to change without notice.

It changes as frequently as the WTBTS flip-flops on whether the residents of Sodom and Gomorrah will be resurrected:

1879 - The men of Sodom will be resurrected

1952 - The men of Sodom will not be resurrected

1965 - The men of Sodom will be resurrected

1988 - The men of Sodom will not be resurrected

1989 - The men of Sodom will be resurrected
