I like my grits with cheese and sunny side up eggs all cut up and mixed together along with either bacon or sausage.

Dakota....you are my kind of man!!!!

BUT...you won't be truly southern until you pour on the hot sauce!!!! yum

Does this "grits" food item taste anything like polenta?

j/k, I LOVE grits. Everytime I eat them, they remind me of my daddy. *insert bittersweet smiley here*

Roundabouts are easy. It's simply a one-way street. You only have to worry about traffic approaching you from the right. If there isn't any, you just turn left on the roundabout as though it was a T junction.

We call them Traffic Circles up here in Canada, eh! I know of only one province that has them, and that's Alberta... You should see the confusion of drivers from other provinces.. priceless!

I find that American's tip up here for anything... it's quite nice, actually. Americans are dam nice people. True, there are some very ignorant ones, but the same applies for our kin' folk' up here in Canada, eh! Weeehooo!

    Traffic Circles,

I think we are getting a few here in Wichita.

    Grits,

Not too bad. It is an aquired taste.

    Englishman,

    Glad you liked your vacation.

In my younger days I used to go to Mexico quite often and coming thru US customs could be a nightmare in those days. Since 9-ll no one I know go to Mexico because of the long lines at the border and some very rude, paranoid customs official. Just for the record, I have a niece that works for the customs service.

Stacy, normally when you write something on this site I agree with you, but apparently food is not one of your stronger subjects. Grits are good and good for you. Your education is lacking apparently, and if you ever get to Texas I will be happy to educate you.

Eman, your taste in American food is beyond reproach. You lose me when you start talking about some of the food in the UK, spotted dick, blood sausages etc.

Oh well, to each his own. This kind of disagreement is what makes life interesting.

We normally put syrup on it, although the Scots prefer just salt.

    Pardon me?

Englishman ... there aren't nearly enough cars going round that roundabout and coming on / off all at the same time for it to be realistic!

That's a roundabout? No wonder they don't let you people carry handguns.
