Those 3 words embody the basic direction of the Governing Body, the Watchtower Society, the District and Circuit Overseers and the Elders...."Just Do It!".....You're depressed because you've just lost your job? You are heartsick because you realize that your father has got cancer? You're exhausted because you've worked 60 hours and you're running late for the meeting? You're so tired that you feel you need to sleep in this Saturday morning? Your husband just left you and the kids for another woman? You have a chronic illness that is incurable? You have mental and emotional issues and you don't know where to turn? None of your kids want the "truth" anymore?-------------SO WHAT? If you thought the "truth" was going to be easy, you were wrong! If you believed that "Jehovah's happy people" were really all that happy, you are delusional......It doesn't make any difference, anyway----JUST DO IT! Don't stop preaching. Don't stop attending all 5 meetings every week, Don't stop attending all the assemblies and conventions in the year. Don't stop studying for all the meetings. Don't stop all other personal study. Don't stop praying. Don't stop hoping. Don't stop believing.......JUST DO IT!!!

In other words....DON'T THINK. Leave that to us. JUST DO WHATEVER WE TELL YOU TO DO.....and everything will be alright.

When the Circuit Overseer went to the congregation, he gave an example of a runner that almost made the completion of the race but because she lost sight of where she was, she stopped running. When told how CLOSE she was from the finish line she was shocked. The following 2 races she won in record time.......What's the moral of the true story?........Just do it and don't stop.

What's the moral of the fable (as they would have you believe)?

We are in control. You will run, and run, and run. You will become out of breath, exhausted, and collapse. Either you get back up and run, run, and run some more, or we will throw you out of the race. You will then be looked upon by your fellow athletes as a loser, unworthy of ever racing again.

What's the real moral of the story?

If you get glasses and learn to see for yourself, not only will you see how far away the finish line really is -- you will see that there is actually no finish line at all. You have been duped like the proverbial donkey with the apple dangling in front of its nose, and you are the jackass!

Jim----You're right!......There is no finish line. JW's are being duped into thinking that they will eventually make it. Just like they were in the 1800's, 1900's and in the 21st century.

When I first read the thread title I thought minimus was giving sex lessons and so I peeked in.

Anyway, ...it would be nice to be able to put one of the GB in a normal working mans life.......people like we were, ...and see how well they could follow their own advise. It's easy to bark out orders when you've been a pencil dick for the last 40 years with your worries paid for.

    Problem in dubland is ...

The "Just Do It" NEVER ends!! And it is never good enough and never fast enough. Dubs just do it their whole life and drop dead just doing it! And what have they really ummm ... done...?

The moral of my story is if you live your own self-directed life, your "doing" will be productive and fulfilling...
