    (((((((Dear Simon and Angahrad))))))

THANK YOU for providing us here with a valuable communication tool where we, your guests can express ourselves in a civil manner. There have been times, however, where things got difficult for you - thankfully you and your wife have always been able to manage, control and resolve those difficult situations. And I admire you and Angahrad for that!

Thank you for having me as your guest!

One of the great things about getting older is getting to know my own mind. There is a special feeling I get when I visit a home where love resides. I do not feel awkward or out of place. In such a home, I can let loose and let my real self shine.

Simon gave me such a home to visit.

Being on the outside - looking in - to the very exclusionary society of the Jehovah's Witnesses, I had no place to safely vent my frustrations, my very real concerns about what the society does to it's members. This site was and continues to be a life-saver. Even though I was never a JW, I need this place too.

I have lived through a church split, where a group of people decided to take it upon themselves to remove a good man through rumor and innuendo. Since that experience, I refuse to judge a man on hearsay. I make my own decisions on a man (or woman) based on what I, myself, have experienced. Like I said. One of the great things about getting older. I know my own mind.

OMG ! ... what a lovely topic to wake up to

I'm really very touched ... it's very kind of people to say so many nice things and very humbling.

I must say, it's a real honour being able to run a site like this and get to know so many nice people and I would like to thank everyone who comes here who helps to make it what it is and also the mods who help to run it (and do much of the work).

The site has helped us tremendously and so many lovely people have been so kind to us - the friendships we've made here have certainly helped us in our own exit from the WTS and to have a happy life after it. While it continues to help other people do the same then we'll be happy to keep it up and running.

(ok, I'm not saying anymore ... I start getting all emotional)

    Just ((( thank you )))

This site, was unknown to me back at the turn of the new year. But I discovered it nonetheless, and am happy to have encountered it, and the many people I have met as a result.

    Thank you Simon.

    Thank you Angharad.

    None no better.

    Respectfully yours,

Hey Minimus, I agree totally! It has to be a major undertaking to be able to run and monitor this Forum. So many people with so many different backgrounds and experiences. The common thread of escaping a cult is what makes this work easier. He has a family to look after and does a good job at it, yet devotes his time to keeping things going in a positive way. Thank You Simon!!!! and Thanks for starting this thread Minimus. What would we all do if this board wasn't here?

I like the idea that we are all "guests" here. This place is made available by our "hosts", Simon and Ang. We can't expect to come here, trash the hosts and accomodations and badmouth the other "guests". It just ain't right! It's good to always remember that this domain is not ours---it's Simon's. Even if we feel something isn't handled correctly in this place, ultimately, we do not have the final decision as to what shall be done or not. If we don't like the company of the "host and guests". we don't have to come here. Whatever differences we might've had over time, one thing I do know----JWD has helped more people than not. It is the #1 discussion forum and it continues to get better.

Thanks for all your hard work Simon.

It seems as if we have unreconcilable differences but nevertheless I wanted to thank you for creating JWD and all it has meant to me over the past few years.
