Usually I'll go with the standard "Indiana Jones....Star Wars....Matrix 1...etc..." but one movie that I just saw for the first time was great. "Scent of a Woman" with Al Paccino. Wasn't the most complicated storyline but, wow, that his character was awesome. I like movies that surprise me like that.

Went here to get some news again ;-))) and reading this post

I just forgot to put THE MOVIE I MOST LIKE :

True Romance ! This love story and lots of caracteres are just f*"whatever" ... Oooooooo Yesssssssssssss ! I just like it, can't hide it, I don't want to loose control but I think ... well you know

Panda just remind me some masterpieces :
The last of the Mohican !
    Platoon ! :
This movie is just well done, well played, smells true "souvenirs"

Chev reminds me an other masterpiece :
Fight Club ... : I mean this movie is well let me find a word ... this movie is so ..." ! "

    Mulan reminds me :
    Working girl

    Then I thought about
    Baby boom

In fact so many good and best and special Like :
Versus (japanese - very special but hey !)
Maverik (for the landscape - and good laugh !!!)

Some may be affraid if I say I just loved :
Peewee's big adventure ! Oh Yessssssssssssss ! It took time for me to watch it ... but Anthony insisted ... It took me then 20 minutes to get into the movie and understand the purpose and the interesting part of the caractere ... it just began after the breeffing he is giving about is bicycle ...pissed of, because nobody cares and is falling asleep ... (JUST WATCH IT - you like it or not but if you didn't see it you'll never know) actualy this charactere is serious, even when he is playing game saying to the girl he is "using" to get rid of her when not needed : "I'm a lonesome man, I'm a rebelle !" TOO LOL ... don't take it sériously at first, and then just think about it ! LOL

Just sorry Mulan that you don't like The good the bad and the ugly ... I'm a fan of this movie ... I especially like the scene when the bab and the man he is about to kill are looking and talking to each other while eating... I also just adore the scene when the bad invited the ugly for a meal and how the ugly is eating while wondering from time to time "what's next ?" ... so much little stuff that makes this movie a great one ... I also like the weird friendship between the good and the ugly ...

OK, I was about to offer a prize on what was my worst movie ever that I couldn't remember the title.

and searching on "mutant fogs 3 snakes" it came up in Google as "HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN"

and yes, everyone on the web agrees it is the worst movie ever.

Just rent it for a laugh... yes watch the worst movie ever, you won't believe it till you see it.

frenchbabyface....oh how could i forget Pee Wee's Big Adventure???? That was one great movie! I also like the cheesy old Martian Chronicles movie/miniseries. I missed one of the episodes because of the book study meeting (when it aired in 1980) and only got to see the whole thing relatively recently on video. -- Leolaia

    A few of my favorites:

    • Grave of the Fireflies
    • Everything by Jacques Tati
    • O Brother, Where Art Thou?
    • Gangs of New York (saw it twice, don't know if it'll hold up to more viewings)
    • Brassed Off
    • Young Frankenstein
    • Almost anything by Hayao Miyazaki
    • Nightmare Before Christmas
    • Tampopo
    • Most films by Pedro Almodovar
    • Babette's Feast
    • Antonia's Line

A few films I love to hate:

    • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder was great, everything else was horrible)
    • A Charlie Brown Christmas (though I loved it as a kid)
    • Jules and Jim (the ending REALLY pissed me off; but then so did the relationship between the woman and her two lovers. I like most of Truffaut's other films)
    • Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
    • Stuart Little
    • Flubber -- BOTH versions

There are others, but this will do.
