I'm thankful for the hot guy buying me jello shots last night.

But in all seriousness I'm thankful that I've been able to reunite with family who I had to "shun" years ago, and that we all got to spend Thanksgiving together today.

I'm thankful that the final abuser is out of my life, the WTS. I give thanks that my husband's health has improved.

But I give thanks every day. I try to find a way every day to pass it along too. I'm no saint but I try.

So many give thanks to God in prayer and don't thank the people in their lives. That reminds me of the scripture that says a person is a liar if they say they love God but hate their brother. So thank the people in your lives that have supported you and loved you.

I am thankful for many things, the most of all for the awesome man in my life who treats me like a treasure, the friends I have in spite of leaving the JWs, the bridges that have been made between my estranged children and myself. I'm also thankful to have been welcomed here for it has been theraputic and appreciated. I'm also building new friendships because of being here with people who understand about being dysfunctional from a JW past. It is so nice to have someone to talk to who can relate.

In case any of you haven't noticed, I haven't been around much this week.

My partner was taken by ambulance to the hospital this past Sunday where they performed emergency surgery to remove several blood clots. I've been spending most of my time at his side.

I am thankful for my partner, and I am thankful that he is recovering from the surgery and is expected to come home this weekend.

(I'm also thankful no one noticed it was my birthday a few days ago. Getting older.......)

I had noticed but just thought you were spending time with friends, Jim. You were, but not under the best of circumstances. Just a few months ago I found myself in the hospital with my honey facing a difficult time. I'm glad they were able to help him and here's for a speedy recovery. And I missed your BD too.
