    Well, Chevy,

Think of all the good things you caused....your reputation of klutz is now without dispute. You'll be the butt of jokes & "hey remember when....." stories for decades to come. Which means - you'll never be forgotten! Eh? Eh? pretty good, eh?

And you get to drive a different vehicle for a while - that ain't shabby.

And you get to watch a lot of tv -

And hopefully your friends will feel so sorry for you they'll bring you lots of holiday food.....

which means you get to diet the first months of next year.

    Well, that sucks.

    Take care & mend well!.......

    Ouch !!!

Hope you're not layed up for too long.

Look on the bright side, this is probably the most memorable thanksgiving people will have had ... they'll talk about it for years, it will become known as ... oh, erm ... nah - don't worry, they won't remember it

Dear Chevy, I am so relieved you are going to be okay. Don't worry about Thanksgiviing, just think of it as a great tale to tell future generations of your National Lampoon Thanksgiving.

    Love Orangefatcat Terry.

Yikes! Chevy! And I thought I was the clutz of the board.. hehhe. Hope that knee gets better real soon! I think I ruined Thanksgiving, too.. well, not totally. But I pulled the 11 lb. ham out of the oven, in the flimsy aluminum broiler pan and spilled hot ham grease all over my palm, fingers, and about halfway to my elbow. It was really painful! My husband ran to Walmart and got this stuff called BURN GEL that I put on it (it has Lidocaine), and gauze. After about 1/2 hour the pain was dulled. However, my arm is one big blister today. Bluck. Then today, husband and I went riding, and we were going to cross the bridge and our horses spooked. My husband's horse dumped him head first on the pavement, I was fine. The horses ran a mile home and we walked. Husband has a huge lump on his head, and a bruised tailbone. It's been a long and painful two days!

ACK....that sounds like no fun...very sorry to hear it!

I am sure your guests were more concerned about your well being than the dinner. I hope surgery goes well for you, and wish you a speedy recovery

Thanks a bunch guys for the kind words and funny stories. I am meeting with an orthopedic surgeon this afternoon to assess the damage. I havent attempted to drive yet. I have wonderful friends who are giving me a lift, and I'm back in my office this morning for work. I am begining to feel a bit like a handicapped inconvience though, what with all the needing people to tie my shoes and all. The pain is not getting any better unfortunately, and the only thing I can take is IB Profren for the swelling. Man it looks like it's going to be a looooooong recovery.

Now I dont feel enarly as bad though after reading all your stories

    THANKS!!!!!

    Chevy:

Sorry for the injury...I hope you'll be off Injured Reserve in time for the Apostafest.

    BTW, my horror story...

My Aunt has always taken pride in her baking, and promised the best pumpkin pie from scratch EVER. Hand-drawn and whipped cream...fresh pumpkin...personally ground graham cracker crust....

Serving time....bland and bitter... we grimaced.

"Uh, Mary, did you forget something?"

Mary took a bite and froze

    "Yes..I forgot the sugar"
