Are Jehovah's Witnesses colorblind?

  My youngest son showed me a quote that in my opinion describes the mentality within the organization perfectly.

  Here it is:

  Those that think it is permissible to tell white lies soon grow color blind

  They [the Watchtower] adamantly teach that it is okay to ?hide the truth from your enemies,? since they are in ?Theocratic warfare,? which is taken as permission to lie. . And who are their enemies? Everyone but themselves...Lying has been described in their literature as permissible, especially to your ?enemies? (which is everyone except the elitist governing body). It depends on whom you?re lying to.

  The Watchtower teaches that lying to ?God?s enemies? is not really lying but theocratic ?war strategy? .

  So what do you think? Are Jehovah's Witnesses colorblind?

  Good grief. What a paranoid bunch of Hussein wannabees. No they aren't color blind --- they always see green

  Most of the Jehovah's Witnesses I know are not money hungry people. I agree that the Governing Body has green in their eyes.

  What I'm trying to point out is that this doctrine in which it is okay to lie has affected the R & F in the sense that they don't know the difference between a lie and the truth, or in any way when to speak a lie or speak the truth; hence the phrase; "colorblind".

  "Colorblind" is a very good image for the consequence of any binary ideology: black and white, right and wrong... When you see the world that way, you don't even realize you have lost its colors. One symptom of this is the "theocratic strategy", as one of many "for-the-cause" schemes.

  I don't know if I would call it color blind but I would call it hypocritical. We 'were' taught to obey in even the little things and yet on one hand it is a sin to lie and on the other it is ok?

  (when I first saw this title regarding colorblind.. I thought this might be about race..... and as much as JWs claim to be colorblind according to race... not all do comply.. I can't tell you how many didn't encourage the fact that I dated blk.. even had a JW brother say oh.. you are into that zebra thing huh.. .. nope.. they aren't all color blind in that aspect at all)
