Wow! That CO sounds like an absolute idiot!
Didnt Jesus condemn the scribes and pharasees for the way they messed with the law by "straining the gnat and gulping the camel"?
The society's way of dealing with child abuse is just such an example!

Religion is one social venture where men who are poorly educated, ignorant and slightly corrupt can empower themselves, unfortunately its the other people who they've lured toward themselves that usually suffer the most from out of that stupidity, ignorance and corruption.

If a member of a church used JW organization's reasoning - i.e.,when wrongs aren't rectified by elders, you must wait upon Jehovah rather than leave - JWs would instantly recognise the shoddy reasoning and likely even ridicule it ( behind the churchgoers back, though). Hypocrisy is like that - and in that regard, JWs aren't that unique.

It can be troublesome when there are not two witnesses, but when it comes to pedophilia, no adult who is not a child's parent should ever have lone access to a child. Pedophile attacks happen in privacy, which makes it tough to witness. Thus, no elder or other adult should ever be given the opportunity to be alone with a child.
The two witness rule was meant to be equitable to both parties. But it can't operate behind closed doors.

Wow...the double-speak is mind blowing....
"But we (the elders) are imperfect, and so cannot know everything about judicial matters. That is why we (the elders) have the biblical rule that there must be at least two witnesses to wrongdoing." We need to follow the two witness rule.
"Sometimes though it is impossible to have two witnesses to a sin, and we (the congregation) may feel that a sin needs to be addressed instead of left in Jehovah's hands." We DON'T have to follow the two witness rule. We DON'T have to "wait on Jehovah".
But we need to remember what we read here in (Jeremiah 29:23) . . .“‘“I am the One who knows, and I am a witness,” declares Jehovah.’” So he concluded that we must support the Two Witness Rule and know that, "eventually Jehovah will address any wrong in his perfect manner." We have to follow the two witness rule and wait on Jehovah.
So pretty much whatever the elders do/don't do...they're covered.

We the elders
The royal "we", or majestic plural (pluralis majestatis in Latin, literally, "the plural of majesty"), is the use of a plural pronoun (or corresponding plural-inflected verb forms) to refer to a single person holding a high office, such as a sovereign (e.g., a monarch) or religious leader (e.g., the Pope). The more general word for the use of a we to refer to oneself is nosism.
Nosism, from the Latin nos, "we", is the practice of using the pronoun "we" to refer to oneself when expressing a personal opinion
Royalty personified, when will Kingdom Halls get thrones for "we"

In ancient Israel the judges were compelled to consider a legal case based on all the evidence whether or not there were two witnesses to an alleged offence.
And its obvious that in the Christian Greek scriptures that Jesus meant the rule to only apply to disputes or allegations between adult or baptized members of the congregation.
Jesus also stated that if the Pharisees did not believe him or his father that the works he did were a witness to the truth of himself, showing that he was more concerned with overall evidence than rigid compliance with a rule for 2 personal witnesses.
Therefore any evidence gathered by the secular authorities should be accepted as a second 'witness', highlighting how imperative it is for the elders to report to the authorities all allegations since 99.9% of child sexual abuse is never witnessed by two persons.
Yet you have absolutely irresponsible idiots like this CO apparently actively discouraging reporting to the secular authorities if theres not two personal witnesses to a child rape.
How utterly morally blind they are.

The Elders are imperfect the C.O. is imperfect everybody is imperfect, but what about the "two witnesses" being imperfect, colluding against someone they don't like, getting their facts wrong. Oops just stoned to death/disfellowshipped the wrong person.

"eventually Jehovah will address any wrong in his perfect manner."
Yeah, since when has Jehippetybop ever done anything? He turns a blind eye to children starving to death everyday. If he does exist he's not worthy of us.
