Wow, talk about hypocrisy- YOU were dishonest because you went to the KH to get their magazines -because you weren't there for what THEY considered "the right reasons" but it's totally honest for them to go door to door (house to house-everybody sing !! LOL) to GIVE others or sell to others those same magazines under the false pretense of trying to save them? LMAO !!!

I commend you for standing your ground and sticking to your convictions. However, I don't think you should have told him "I hope you never do leave," especially after calling his group a cult.
I think deep down, a lot of them have doubts and want to leave, but they don't have the courage to do so. I know when I went back one time, a few of them mentioned that almost every JW has doubts at some point. However, one of them said that he has never seen the "other shoe fall yet," so it must be good. Yeah.... Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

I see no reason to assume dishonesty. Why do they say that? They made the arrangement that if you were interested in the mags you had to get them in the hall. So...? You are interested in the mags. So you go to the hall to pick them up, even listening to the lecture and then being called dishonest! Way to go Elder. Now she will really consider coming back, such a warm welcome! LOL
