BTW Father Ted is not a British comedy show, so it shouldn't be on this list, although I think that it certainly is the funniest show on the list. -

I thought the early series of Red Dwarf were great but the later ones really werent funny
Black adder goes forth was hilarious
One thats not on the list but was great is Men Behaving Badly (the UK version )
Oh and Bottom was absolutely sick but very funny !

I know what you mean Ang. Benny Hill was quite funny sometimes, but no funnier than say, Paul Hogan or Kenny Everett who had a similar style of humour.
