Speaking about British shows, you can see the variation of the English tonuge. We have cockney, and then we have uppercrust English. Is there a middleclass english??
My favourite shows are
Keeping up Apperances : Patrica Rutlidge as Mrs Bucket in her snobery elequantly says Mrs.Boquet. God no wonder Richard is like most husbands, yes dear. no dear, watching pedistrains dear, watching out for bicycle dear. God it isn't any wonder the man hasn't had a breakdown. But alas, the relief of Onslo and a quick brew at the pub, helps him endure Hyiacinths badgering. And that poor Vicar, heaven help him. It is one of my favourites..
Ab Fab, ah twisted and warped it is the show to watch when you need some sanity in your life
I have watched other British show and have enjoyed them. I love some of the Australian shows, now they make you laugh.

I miss the Britcoms since I moved away. We do get some here but not many.
Oh yeah - Benny Hill Makes me want to gag. The man is disgusting.

I am a HUGE abfab fan!! but where is mention of Saunders&French's other ones....Murder Most Horrid and Victor of Dibly?
I just adore Dawn French....she is my hero! And Jennifer Saunders is the bomb too. I dont think there is any american comedy that can beat those three shows...and I love a lot of american comedies.
The father Ted one....I dont think that is the name of the show, but there is a show about a priest and there is a father ted living at the house.
I have seen most of the real ones on the list...they are great...too bad Brits suffer from a short attention span and cannot make more than 10 episodes of ANYTHING except Dr Who (which I love too)
