Oh I remember one or two elders that were tuned in to whether the congregation was being hindered by God`s Holy Spirit because of some secret sin of somebody in the congregation and they were very focused in looking out for that and who to blame.I think it caused some serious issues with some people.

The elders would give a yearly talk asking is there some secret sin you have been hiding that you know you should bring to our attention. It was amazing to see how many people would fall for the bait.

They used to get around that little loophole and announce you were “bad association” and should be treated the same as disfellowshipped.
