I'm still trying to figure out the "TWO FINGER" thing. Where I live, they just stick up one finger. Did you flip them off twice or just use both hands?

Forget about it! Actually, I would think you felt kind of "empowered" by having an honest human reaction.
That's something we repressed so much when we were JW's. One of the greatest lessons I've learned since leaving is.........give yourself PERMISSION to be human. That's it.You can make mistakes, wrong choices, something you might think was in bad taste...it's ok. That's how we grow. Don't be surprised if you do it again...if the appropriate moment comes!

Gumby LOL (thanks ? I laughed!). Here in England two fingers is the equivalent of your one ? but the one finger is catching on! To make the two-finger gesture worse one has to move them up and down ? which is what I did.

That?s good advice and I know I?ve probably been hard on myself. As you say, I might well do it again???..

Actually, Gumby, if the fingers are open in the ?V?-shape with the knuckles toward the person giving the sign it usually means ?peace?. If the fingers have the knuckles pointed away from the person giving the sign ? and especially if the fingers are waved up and down ? then, yes, you?re being told to F******!!
Good job, Ian.
Mulan, you are naughty!
Well I would think better two fingers at them than kicking the dog with all that pent up anger
I'm still trying to figure out the "TWO FINGER" thing ROTFL!!!! He meant VICTORY!!!!

Here is the history. Those two fingers were used by British (they were mainly from Cheshire and Wales) longbow men. So in the Hundred Years wars between England/Wales and the French, if the French captured longbow men they used to cut off those two fingers so they could not be used to fire arrows. It was the superiority of the longbow which allowed the English/Welsh to wup the French ass so many times. So in battle the English/Welsh used to stick those two fingers up to the French in effect saying "up yours". So if a Brit sticks two fingers up at you it means "F--k O--" And that my friends is the history of the British two fingered salute!!
What did Mrs Dansk do?????lol
Grace,
There was nothing she could do! Claire was turning the wheel with both hands while I leant across her to give the longbow archers' salute
