IT is the same, very few women because few women pursue STEM degrees (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) but far too many waste their time on far less valuable courses (gender studies) and then end up working in a lower paid job as a result of the choices they made.

  The education industry is happy to pander to them, backed by increasingly left-wing femminazis on campuses as it bolsters their own self-important invented positions.

  Women are just as capable of course if they do go into STEM fields and early on in IT made up the majority of developers.

  The more I think about this Women's March, the more it makes me angry.
  Really, women in most western countries enjoy THE most protections, rights and freedoms than women have ever enjoyed in the history of mankind. They can be educated, have jobs, pursue careers in pretty much any field they want, they can be involved in politics at the highest level. They are as equal as you can imagine.

  Suppose you have Jill. She works in a bank, she has four kids and a man and has never watched a second of youtube feminism.

  Jill thinks Trump is not suited to be president because of obvious flaws in his character and because of his stance on climate change, something Jill cares for deeply.

  Does it really make you angry that Jill goes to Chicago to protest? Is it legitimate for her to protest?

  Why can't women have the same concerns about Trump as many men have and decide to go have a protest?

  I can't square the circle that people feel so strongly about something such as the language he used about women that they are willing to take a day out, pay to travel all that way, wear a silly hat, listen to polticrap by washed up old hags like madonna and wail that Clinton was not elected ... with the fact that Clinton and her husband also have a terrible record when it comes to treating women.

  I can't see how people find what Trump said so, so crushingly terrible, yet can turn a blind eye to the absolute terrible crimes being committed against women even in the west by certain ideologies and then use the march to promote symbolisms of those oppressive misogynistic regimes.

  There is some hypocrisy or willful blindness going on.

  Sure, Jill can march all she wants. Go Jill, you go girl. But I'm also allowed to point out that Jill is a misguided fool or a cynical tool.

  Bohm because different rules are being applied to women then those with legitimate concerns about regressives. I'm astonished by the lack of consistency. By the logic being expressed by Simon no one should be complaining about there situation since someone else has it worse.

  No, not worse. It's not that women in the west have slightly less rights - they have THE SAME rights as men. So don't try to suggest it's that they aren't oppressed enough and that it's that other people are oppressed a bit more. It's that they are not oppressed AT ALL and that other women are actually oppressed.

  You had the chance pages ago to tell us what rights they didn't have and it turned out there are none and it's just a feel-good day out for them.

  So yes, there are people who have life a lot, lot worse and there isn't really any comparison.

  No different rules, just some honesty and facts, things that some people run screaming from.

  I am a woman in the United States. I went to college, married who I wanted, when I wanted. I took the job I wanted, in the field I wanted. I am paid the same as men in the same job with the same qualifications. I get the same bonus ( sometimes more) and get stock options my male counterparts do not get. Please tell me how I am oppressed or soon will be by Trump?

  Uh? That makes no logical sense.

  People here are protesting pretty much nothing when elsewhere people aren't allowed to protest anything while there is actually lots, lots more to protest. But the people here are too busy protesting about nothing to care about those actual real things.
