Did lots of women just have non-refundable flight and hotel bookings for what they expected was going to be Clinton's inauguration? LOL

I saw that on twitter too, it is a little funny..
But I also got one: For all the women who attended the march because they had booked flights and felt they had to, let's remember the women who wanted to attend the march but had other obligations:

Holy shit. The attitude here is a perfect example of why people feel the need to march.

Those doggone females and races oughtta be glad for what they got. "The left" as if it is one big homogenous entity.

Just check out the crap this new administration is pulling. It is pretty scary to anyone who isn't in the higher income brackets.

Down through history, when the upper class goes too far in taking it all for themselves, the masses get hopeless, violent and they riot.

I read and listen, and talk to people from all over the right/left spectrum. You can pick and choose excuses for all this but it's obvious if you just look.

Flipper I think it's more about people being unwilling or unable to admit their wrong. Apparently there is no middle ground on this subject. It is pretty apparent who the unhinged ones are on this topic. Post after post of one side demonising hundreds of thousands of people, the other admitting to errors yet supporting the majority of those exercising their right to freedom of speech and assembly.

I've said it before and I'll say it again the false equivalency has been astonishing. All to hold ones ground. I think it's shameful.

I agree Azor. phew. This topic have been very heated right? I think it will be good to take a break from discussing the serious issues facing this country (a peaceful protest of mainly women) and mention some more light-hearted stuff.

For instance, Donald Trump just saw this statistic on The Oreily Factor:

...and went to twitter to announce he would send in "the feds" in Chicago if things didn't improve.

I am happy the president decides to violate the 10th amendment of the US constitution based on some random crap in a tv-show lol!

Donald Trump is quite literally an old man yelling at his TV except he tweets whatever pops into the mind and he has nuclear weapons.

One of us is happy there was a 4M peaceful march against a very compromised president, the other is trying to find reasons to discredit the protests - bullshit, and you know it.

Simon obviously knows the march was against Trump. He was simply asking what the march was for. This a perfectly reasonable question to ask. He is obviously not a Trump supporter.

Critical analysis of political view points is essential. But not only analysis of the bigoted Right's view points.

Critical analysis is also essential of soppy birds who march against Trump whilst wearing burkas.

Down through history, when the upper class goes too far in taking it all for themselves, the masses get hopeless, violent and they riot - Madonna joined this march against Trump. Yes, a pop star who is worth hundreds of millions of $$$. Would you class her as a member of the masses or as one of the upper class?

She certainly has the life-style and money of the upper classes ...

I'm guessing that things aren't so clear cut today.

For many on the left, everything is black and white. If you are not for them then you are a "nazi" or a "hater" (and can be punched in the face and attacked in the street).

You may as well have a protest for "politeness" for all the good it would do.

Actual effective political campaigns have clear goals. When the goal is "let's start a movement first and figure out the plan later" you simply create the perfect environment for someone to take it over, not always for goals that the people would have originally supported.

But they are conditioned to see in black / white and trust and follow what they are told.

Simon can you say pot calling the kettle black. You have throughout this post and others like it demonstrated black and white thinking. Most who agree with me have not used the language you just tried to put on us. Can you say alternate facts.

Painting groups with a broad brush based on the worst minority in the group. Demonizing the group in the process.

Love Unite - I'm not talking about the original question. Go back and read the comments from Simon and others, and see how visceral some of the comparisons and demonizations are.
