ThiChi,
Regan?s legacy was the end of the USSR and the greatest economic run in the history of the US via his tax policies. Like Regan, Bush will win history wise, over the appeasers, hate US First mongers, and the red diaper doper baby crowd.....
The fall of the USSR had little to do with Reagan. He was the president at the time but that does not mean he can take credit. The demise of the USSR had more to do with their preoccupation with keeping up with the arm's race that we started and their poor infastructure. I wouldn't give him credit for the economy of the 80's either. The economy of the time was bloated and it was followed by one of the best recessions in our history as well. The economy during the tenure of Clinton was also very good but you can't give too much credit to the president as the economic state of our country is based on many factors. We also have to remember that what happens all over the world can affect our economy due to the fact that we are now in a global economy. I'm no expert at economics so I can't say too much further on the subject.
I wouldn't give this poll too much credence as it barely asked over 1,000 people although the number isn't my chief reason for disbelieving it's accuracy. Who you ask is as important as how many. I participated in a hockey poll today. Over 7,000 people responded and the winner, by far, as to who would finish the regular season with the most points was the Red Wings. Not surprisingly it was on the Detroit Red Wings official site. Although, Toronto came in second...LOL!
Quick question: What the hell is a diaper doper baby crowd? And why are they red? Are they embarrassed?
