That's it! The Society is either trying to get people df'd or make them crazy.....LOL..... They know if ANYONE keeps talking about "Jehovah's Kingdom" as a common theme at parties----something's bound to happen!

Well I know fanatics that love to hash it all out. We were on a trip recently and all the dub relatives could talk about was who was in, who was out, "new light" and "impending Armageddon" because of "world events".
As far as youths went we rarely had discussions beyond what we could get away with. And these always guarded from the fanatic pioneer youths..

On the contrary, it's been my experience that for the most part, JWs seldom discuss spiritual matters in a social setting; when someone initiates a subject of that type, it generally peters out after a commnet or two.
At the Kingdom Hall, once the final ``amen" closes a meeting, it's usually like a throwing a switch, a cue to revert to talking aboutanything but what was just said from the platform, i.e. sports, entertainment food (recipes, etc.), vacation plans, etc. The one exception would be a DFing announcement, which would cast a pall, and several whispered conversations in hushed tones.

Regarding dfing announcements, reproofs or deletions-----almost no one would talk about it in the hall after the announcement. It's like it almost never happened...Very weird.

They would probably hurry home and call someone. Or because thanks to the gossip mill 85% knew all the details already.

Good point, Blondie. They probably knew about it beforehand. In social circles, they'll talk about the announcements for months and months and that way they can think they're keeping "the common theme of Jehovah's Kingdom" alive.

What a boring empty life, if all you can talk about is Jehovahs Kingdom.
Especially when it's not going to happen. At least the way they think it is.
Integ.

"Nice dress you've got there, sis!"....."Oooh thanks. I thought it would bring praise to God's Kingdom". ---------"It looks like the New England Patriots might win it all, huh?"........."Yes, they rule---just like kings and priests in Jehovah's Kingdom".-------------"Would you pass me that beef, please?".........."Sure. Eat up. We won't be having any of this in Jehovah's Kingdom."

I remember every once in a while someone would bring something up about the meeting or assembly, and the conversation ended quite quickly. The fact is that no one really wanted to talk about that crap away from the hall.
Not once did we finish a meeting and someone come up and say how great the information was.
