The words "vulnerable" "naive" "inexperienced" seem to fit the criteria for that statement more accurately, Min.

I agree whole hearetedly Bisous
I have went to three churches, and attended them for some time. (I don't now). The first one was a big independant baptist church. They raked in money and there was no "outlet" as far as helping others. The pastor was almost venerated. I skadadled!
The second one was an american baptist church (inner city). They started a homeless shelter/kitchen and turned it over to the city eventually. The need outgrew the facilities of the church basement. So we bought a modest facility, and gave it free and clear to society (secular).
I loved that church. I fit in perfectly. They appreciate everyone there, and even made me a sunday school teacher! I miss them soo much...
Then I moved away, and went to a "non-denominational" church...I lossed interest, as it is one of those dead types...
In other words, I am not religious per say, but I know by pooling our money and talent, great things can be accomplished. Habitat for Humanity for example.
Also, in most mainline denominations, there is no heirarchy. Church pastors are voted in or out. There is full disclosure of all money taken in, and full disclosure and voting as to what and where the money goes.
Any church that hides money flow, shows favoritism, and is not socially concience is a sham of christianity IMO.
I would not say I was weak, but I was feeling like there were no answers to 'what happens after death'....I had been a Catholic and taught that certain things brought you either to heaven or hell. I didn't feel good enough to be in heaven but certainly not bad enough to be damned to hell.
I guess I had a guilt complex and fear of death. So, the answer for me was VULNERABLE.

Simplesally----Just because you have 50 posts to waste, it doesn't mean you have to do this.....
I have not read all replies, but my feeling is that a lot of JWS are Idealistic people.
Minimus ok your a joker, kidder, that is okay too, cause what ever you are your you.
Love always Orangefatcat
I was reading through all the responses and when I came across this one by littlewitch: " What chance do they have of getting a well-grounded, religiously strong person involved? Nil."
I had to read it twice for some reason.
littlewitch' what exactly IS a well-grounded, religiously strong person
?
I don't see a single example of morals taught by the dubs
Sorry - but as much as I dislike the WTS as a whole, this just isn't true.
