For me, as i remember it, I was clueless about our history and b/c i had been born into this religion, i just believed we were right. Afterall, weren't we so very different then others? I think the only time JWS start to question things is when they have something really bad go wrong and get the shaft, the "wait on jehovah" thing. Or they get shunned . The child abuse thing had more affect on me and others b/c it is so common , that many little girls have been molested, in org and out. It reaches right down into your gut, children being molested and abused by the org. It is hard to ignore. I felt deep shame after seeing dateline. It is enough to shake some out of thir coma. Some not.
There are different levels until one is to totally out of the box. El blanko seems to be snapping out of it. No wonder he is on this board His expressed views show the same jw thinking we all had at one time Jw views and feelings linger to the grave in or out of the box,
An elder told a group of us that "it's okay to not agree with the Society on some of their teachings, you just have to keep it to yourself........." (I won't say how long ago.......can't be too specific)
He didn't elaborate on which "teachings" he didn't agree with, but I certainly got the impression there was more than one.
He's still extremely spiritual...he would never be lurking on this board I'm sure.........but this and similiar comments by others in general conversation show that they're not so excited when some "new thought" is printed in the Watchtower.

Give me a break. So because El blanko believes in God and The Bible, his thinking is comparable to that of a dub? People who believe everything is peachy keen, and that there is no God think on a "higher level?" And people who believe the world is disintegrating think on a "lower level?" Excuse me while I vomit.
El blanko stated something called an opinion, meaning his views are neither worth more nor less than anyone else's. Now, if we all have to agree that the world is like some big happy land to be considered a critical thinker, then we are really no better than the organization we just left. Don't fool yourselves into thinking you are any better either.
OX please don't misunderstand me. El blanko expressions, "new system" etc.' are jw expressions. Many active jws come to this board with the jw mindset (in the box). One can be df or no associationg or inactive and still have the jw mindest. I am referring to individuals who are not swallowing all the spiritual food and are seeing things differently. I am saying that there are different levels of having freeminds

IM sure that some spiritual bros that fear no truth lurk this board. And elders, as shepperds of the flock can come to this board, read apostate material, and even talk to df ones. You would be surpised how many elders, and high ranking jws, "spiritual" as the adjetive describes, dont swallow all fds food at the proper time, and have views of their own but are still "ACTIVE" members of the org with a spiritual facade. Everyone has their reasons. But the terms spirutal acoording to wt definion means a jws who truly lives by all of the jw rules, and not one who lives a fcade and has and expresses "disloyal views" The preception of spirituality by the cong is of course puting on the show, regardless of what the individual does.
