"Well sportsfans, we are deep into extra time, full time having been and gone in 1930, in this classic fixture between Jehovahs Witnesses FC and Satan & his Minions Utd. The referee, Mr G Body, has raised the whistle to his lips on a number of occasions, most recently in 1975 and all the JW team players moved towards the dressing room, but the whistle was never blown and some of the players actually switched sides. Amazing. Play still goes on.

"The latest news we have is that this may indeed not be extra time, but half way through the second half, well one of the two halves anyway. If this was to end now the score would be 6,393,593,837 Satans team and to Jehovah, a little over 6,000,000. A complete whitewashing of the JW team.

"We, here in the commentary box feel this will go on and on but could end in any number of ways a) all the JW team switch to Satans team b) they all die (resurrections don't count in this game), or c) the funding for JWFC dries up.

Their threats of shunning have no affect on me. Anybody I care about won't shun me and anybody who does shun me I don't care about.

Garybuss - this is so well put, and is exactly how I feel. I have missed many meetings and don't go on service any more, but there could be any number of reasons why. I could be ill - physically or mentally - or maybe something has happened in my personal life - who knows. Yet, the sanctimonious, pompous gits in my congregation have taken it upon themselves to shun me! (not all of them - just a few) They don't even bother to find out why I haven't been. For all they know, I am still a faithfull JW, still loyal to the WTS and still grovelling to the elders - but they take it upon themselves to decide that I am 'spiritually weak' - doesn't it make you want to puke?

I feel as you do - true friends will remain loyal no matter what. The ones that shun me are people that I don't care about anyway.

Wallflower - that was very good!

Pleasuredome, I have thought about your post and I think you have brought up the most important point of all. The 1925 prediction was a hugely publicized thing for the Tower Publishing Corporation but they didn't bother to spiritualize it's disappointment like they did for 1914. Maybe the good stories were all taken. It can't be the end of the world because that already happened in 1914. It can't be the invisible return since that already is covering two dates. What could they apply to it?

So 1925 simply disappeared off the radar screen until you brought it back up. Maybe 1925 marked the invisible return of the three wise men only the magic powder was old and instead of the three wise men, we got the three blind mice and they have been serving on the Governing Body in an advisory position. I mean . . . that would answer lots of questions.

Wallflower, I'm glad you didn't write a blow by blow report on Jehovah's Organization committing spiritual fornication with the Wild Beast.

I enjoyed your entertaining account. You wrote "(resurrections don't count in this game)". That's a major flaw in the Tower Publishing's spiritual salad. That makes life cheap. Anyone who dies before the bid "A" gets rebooted and all is well . . . that allows them to do things to people they would have a harder time doing if they had a rational view of life and the apparent rather permanent nature of death.

When people get fantasy and reality mixed up and the lines between those two blur, the people seem capable of doing terrible things without even realizing what they are doing.

Thanks for posting. I hope you do more. GaryB

I just love the bitter satire . LMAO . That is a sound point there garybus . The here and now matters as much or more than the here after . Being nosey, pushy and judgemental are all the qualities that deffinately need to be weeded out of christianity . They even claim the bible to be written for the purpose of the anointed christians but still expect the great crowd to assume authority that does not belong to them and that is the judicial committee and all the rest of the critical and abusive policies they are prone to conjure at will . The no blood policy comes to mind , if you don't take a card refusing blood transfusion you are treated like dirt . I tell you what if judgement is imminent then they are deffinately asking for it on themselves .

Wildfire, I sent you a pm but maybe it doesn't work. I'd love to meet up with you.

Heathen, I think a few of us are quite satisfied with the way the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation is being judged right now:-) Their victims falling apart like a two dollar suitcase in the rain is not the way to deal with them. Thanks for your comments. I always like to read your posts. GaryB

Glad you enjoy my posts as well I've enjoyed seeing you on the board . I don't think judgement from any of us will make a difference with anyone but they seem to think they are immune to judgement from above as alot of the foney religionists seem to think they are above reproach . I still believe in a creator and refuse to believe that this pitiful world we live in is all there is to our existence and if there is any justice at all they will all be accountable for their transgressions .
