I almost lost my son Anthony to the DPT shot. Mel was vaccinated with no problem.
With Anthony I had a really bad feeling about the shot, I waited until he was about 7 months or so and had a nurse get in my face accusing me of being a bad Mother.
The doctor injected him in the leg, he lurched backwards and began to scream he had blotches that started (I thought it was prickly heat) The scream I can' describe it is horrible something you just don't imagine a baby making. I have since found out that it was his brain pressing on the cranium. His fever shot up by the time I got home (1 mile) it was over 102)
I rushed him back to the doctor and we thought we were going to lose him. I had argued to use only 1/2 a dose or I would not have my Marine Anthony right now. All reports of children with reactions such as his that had a full dose, died immediatly upon being injected.
They have claim they have changed the DPT vaccine and he did not react badly to his vaccines they gave him at bootcamp.
With my grandbaby I gave Mel the pros and cons and she chose to vaccinate. Mak has been fine. If Thunder and I have another baby I will be more reluctant and may wait until they are older.
Japan has decided to wait until the age of 2 to vaccinate the first year they had 0 cases of SIDS in Japan
