I truly wish you could join some of oldtime apostates in the yahoo jw/ exjw rooms sometime. We were just discussing this today over there (actually, i am in there now relating your post) and how that when they study feb 15 wt re: said apostates that they had better be careful how they (internet jws) answer the study questions. Seems this article is a good weeding out tool.

I'd really like to go to a kh when it's studied yet have an idea that they will be looking for 'troublemakers' and I'm not so sure I could pull it off, unlike I told blondie in another post, because I am known here as apostate and someone is sure to spot me.

Back to yahoo chatrooms with so called active members of jw/wt org...

I suggested that perhaps the elders have already been instructed to listen carefullyto how the jws answers these study questions and more importantly, who does NOT reply at all. They will be paying close attention and may even call some aside, to to their replies and asked about their internet activities nd such.

THAT is when I think the majority of them logged out and went to do some underlining! lolololol

They better get their answers in order and carefully.

It does depend on what type of elders you have in your area, too. I faded almost two years ago and, after three half-hearted phone calls (the last of which I didn't answer), I haven't seen an elder or heard from one.

Our first and only phone call from either a MS or elder , he was advising us of meeting time change and BTW he said"who are u?" he had no clue who we were.

I think all of us on this board are intelligent enough and sharp enough to give the "correct from the WTBTS standpoint) answers anyway - if we wanted we all could give the standard dub answer

The average Witness NEEDS compassion and inspiration ....... BUT THEY'RE NOT GOING TO GET ANY! Why?
BECAUSE in the secret councils of this cult, the elderly 'Theocrats' will REFUSE any such changes by labeling these needs
as "APOSTATE THINKING" !

On another thread it was related that if a high level Brooklynite makes comments suggesting a lightening of the load, Ted Jaracz takes them aside and says in a low, menacing voice "You're not pulling a Ray, are you?" Although this is hearsay, I certainly don't doubt that this is very possibly true.

As for questions elders have been trained to use to weed out apostates and doubters, I have no problem with fading and inactive JW's lying through their teeth. It's none of their damn business anyway.

stilla: at the last WT study we attended, my wife, a long-time, by the book, party-line dub and certified congo pillar, was so angry about the topic that she read her answer right out of the paragraph!

This was significant because she has ALWAYS answered in her own words for 30 years and took a scant view of those (over 21) who couldn't formulate a thought and had to read the answers as written.

I remarked about it later and she said she felt compelled, out of habit, to answer at least once and contribute SOMETHING to the meeting, but "I didn't trust myself to answer the question unscripted." I knew then the end was near, and happily it was. We haven't been back.

If the elders were as sharp as some above have suggested, they'd have recognized that as a sign, but they missed it.

my big question is , How does the Organization know if a person is an apostate?

I haven't been to the KH since mid DEC 1999 so if I were to show up at the Hall what would I expect to happen? Will they tell me I have to go because I am an apostate? I am not volunteering that information out.

The WTS seems to be very paraniod about exjws. It seems like it is truly a deep problem in the organization now. I remember apostates in the early years of my becoming a JW in the 1960ies. Is the problem greater now on account of the internet?

Earlier Blissisignorance said that she wanted to be reinstated and they the elders told her NO NOT YET. What the hell is all that about. Do the elders have power trips or did the elders follow the society? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that in your remarks Bliss. I am certain that the society must be realy worried. They treat those even in the cong. sometimes with contempt.

I am wondering what the statisics are showing as to those just picking up and leaving are.

Just because you don't go out in the service they want to dissassociate you. That is really paranio.

I dare say the Society is loosing people like flies. The elders no longer encourage it seems that they are policing the members in the KH> Where is all this heading? Is this the Great Apostacy as fortold in the Scriptures of What?

Oh well I am just rambling here so don't mind me.
