Does anybody know if the WTBS' lawyers are JW's themselves or some outside firm?
They often use both. In this case Paul Polidoro (a hotshot JW) is main counsel. A external firm is also involved but Polidoro was doing the talking in court.
He's not even a bad lawyer, he also won some Supreme Court cases. As a JW and human being perhaps he could improve....
a non-jw lawyer legally gets access to the name of Darkspliver's identity, would he be legally obligated to tell the WTS?
In this case only the lawyers for WTS can know Darkspilvers identity. If they would reveal his identity to Watchtower they'd be violating a court order, which could/will have severe consequences for them.
So not even Polidoro can disclose Darkspilvers identity to his fellow JW hotshots. The big question is....will he obey the judge or not.
The Inquisitors are also members of the Faith... No conflict of interest there...
This is where activism plays a role as the general public, as well as the Judge, have no idea of the devious thinking that is the “go to” mode of the WTBTS.
If they go after DS with the information provided by the Lawyers, then who is going to police them? They will simply lie and say the had a “witness” from a congregation, or some such nonsense.
Nobody can lie like a Lawyer, and no Lawyer can lie like a Dub.

It’s going to be hard to prove that a lawyer passed it on. For instance DS could get a reassignment from Bethel, followed by a letter saying he had a thing with pillows. There are a whole range of scenarios for kicking him out and if he is at bethel then why would he want to stay with all that has happened. If he’s still there he needs his head read.
The judge is making a distinction between the "local congregation" and Watchtower. Polidoro feeds this illusion and keeps saying that he needs to share everything with his "forensics team" - that is the Watchtower. (They really believe they are some kind of Law Enforcement agency)
He then tries to draw a parallel between Universal Studios and Watchtower. Universal Studios doesn't destroy people's lives when they exercise their constitutional right of Free Speech.

Did anyone catch the point that the Watchtower is no longer a publishing company but is now a digital media company? Will publishers now be called "digital outlets" or some other robotic term?

So they’re no longer a ‘publishing company’ but a ‘digital media company’?...I can’t help but feel this is all leading in the direction of ever fewer kingdom halls because there will be fewer ‘publishers’.
The baffled rank & file JWs will make increasingly longer trips to these new halls they are assigned to perhaps temporarily until they TOO are sold.. I cannot help but wonder if the religion is perhaps coming close to reinventing itself to something even more unrecognizable or doing a disappearing act or something close to it.
This, coupled with that GDPR thing, sounds like bad news for the faithful JWs still left in this shrinking religion.

When WT violates this Court Order and DS is DFd or suffers whatever other consequences, this blatant violation of the Court Order will be brought into as evidence in every Child Abuse Lawsuit in the future to prove that WT cannot be trusted to respect the Judge's orders.
They will gloat and smirk and toast each other with Macallan's 12 year, but the last laugh will not be theirs! These "ordinary men" (aka bumbling idiots) are always so short sighted. It will be clear to every judge or jury in the future that these men and their lawyers are liars and NOT to be trusted.
Well I sure hope the court will impose some big penalties if the WT lawyers reveal the identity of DS to the governing assholes. I'm sure the penalty will be severe what ever it is.
If DS get's DF'd I'm sure she can win in a lawsuit!!! Boy the Governing Boobie must be shitting in their pants over this whole court order. I'm sure legal will not divulge and if the GB by some other means finds a way to DF her,,, that this will cause a great concern in the legal department(whistleblower lawsuits) and the GB will no longer have their cooperation sabotaging their whole survival.
This WT lawyer sure is cherry picking facts and indulging in wishful thinking starting at 12:25 in the recording when he tells the judge that only after repeated tries to correct an errant sinner are they DF'd and that the basic in house judicial process is to restore and not to DF.
How could this guy lie so straight faced to the judge what a utter bunch of bull shit he handed the judge, and I think this could be used against the WT in the very near future.
