Yes I did. My grandmom told me I had the "gift" and could see family members. My mom told me it was demons trying to trick me. I don't know. I still see things, and feel things. Could be my imagination, but sometimes I think it is really cool when my dreams come true.

Yep. every JW who does not believe the demons are after them is "weak in the truth"..lol, its a major Watchtower teaching that satan is out to get all JWs outta the truth.

I used to think demons came back through time to try and kill me. Then I met Arnold and he killed everyone.. wait maybe that was a movie. nevermind.

Seriously though, I used to be caught in that grip of fear. I remember being 5 and totally controlled by my parents through fear of the demons, I was an ADD kid, guess it was the only way they could control me. It was great how my father would tell me I needed to pray everynight before I went to bed because if I didn't they demons might attack. And of course he would tell me of this lady he studied with who would be attacked by a demon python in her bed, again he would tell me this right before I went to sleep. Then would laugh when I was crying telling him the paper bag on the floor made the resemblance of an angry face and I thought it was a demon.

It took me a long time to resolve the fact that I could be a spiritual person minus the witness doctrine and not be open to demonic attack. All thanks to the witness teaching that anything spiritual that doesn't came from them is demonic.

Special K, I was thinking that and then I saw your post.

I was taught that Satan & the demons were concentrating on the WTS as an organization and that the only individuals that were bothered were ones that used ouija boards, hypnotism, idols, spiritistic books, etc., that is, were involved directly in spiritistic practices, perhaps going to voodoo or witch doctors. Since I did none of those things, I felt safe.

An article in a 1966 Watchtower stirred up most JWs and things continue just like ghost stories around the campfire and urban legends.

    lol @ dusty!!!!

My JW friend is going through a stage of "filtering out his "evil influences" (cd's). He said to me, "I had another Demon attack, after the first dream "HATE JEHOVAH HATE JEHOVAH!". He felt the need to get rid of it because a track "Demon on the Fall" was contained. APPARENTLY, that very CD flew up against the wall VOLUNTARILY! This freaked him out. Then the second which just freaked him out again, his stereo turned itself on, due to the fact the bass player was previosly in Marylin Mansons band, who were commercial satanists. What a loser really. I feel he wants his demons to destroy him.

joking aside, have you ever seen a person who is possessed? where clearly another personaltiy takes over the body, sometimes there's more than one personality and you can watch as they converse with eachother, each having a name, and a distinctive character, it happens, believe me, and is one the most disturbing things imaginable to see, perhaps in the civilised world there are psychological explanations, but what i'm talking about is way beyond schitzophrenia or self abuse or anything i've heard explained, it is something else, something very inhuman, and though i'm a pretty realistic person who will walk into most any situation, i have no trouble saying that there are places in this world i WOULD NOT walk because of what's there.

no i'm not a wacko, (not totally ) but there's more out there than some would have themselves believe. it's so easy to dismiss something from an armchair, and i do think that almost all of the jw demon stories are bullshit, however, there are things out there, and just because the boy cried wolf doesn't mean the wolf didn't get him in the end.

I have a question, do people who believe in demons necessarily believe in God? If they believe in God, do they believe that God is stronger than the demons and the demons can only have control over you if you invite them into your life?

    Just wondering.
