I read your post, and you have a very idealistic point of view of the porn industry and how it affects those (women) who have been involved with it.
You know the difference between an idealist and a realist? The idealist believes that since a rose smells better than a potatoe, it should therefore make even better soup! The realist knows the better.
I enjoy rose tea. Perhaps your problem with the ingredient, is that you think it is time to make soup. When the word is just drinking some nice tea and enjoying the moment. Personally, in all seriousness, the world is often seen through the glasses we put on. Perhaps mine are rose colored and I see porn as something that is simply an extension of human sexuality. While others see it as a rotten potatoes. Either way, this world offers many flavors to add to this life and we can use them in what ever works best for us and I will drink the "rose tea."
I would not know a porn star if one was sitting right next to me or even if they told me her name. I don't even know the names of porn stars. Oh not true..........Tracy Lords. But then I just know that she was a porn star, never saw her movies.
Now if Julia Roberts, Barbra Streisand or Robert Redford was in the same room as me, I'd recognize them and want to see them.
Funny you mention tea. I am currently thinking of getting into the whole tea 'thing'. I've been reading a lot about the herbal teas and have a keen interest in this topic. I bought some generic green tea and I like it. It comes in many flavors. Are you really in to teas? Geesh, its a whole industry I wasn't really aware of. Do you really drink 'rose tea', or were you just playing with my analogy?

Just wanted to add this footnote, considering you are the author of this thread. I don?t usually get into the pro?s and con?s of pornography on a discussion board even though I?m personally against the medium. For one reason, I don?t believe in censorship even if it may be something that I personally find objectionable and making a stand against porn can make a person be perceived that he?s pro-censorship, and secondly cuz I don?t like coming off like a prude, as I am not one. Fact is, I have had a fairly wild life when it comes to sex. It started off for me by ?doing? my best friend?s mom when I was just sixteen and it kinda went from there. So while I?m on the side against porn because of how I believe it has an overall negative influence on its players and on its audience that doesn?t mean that I would try to stop people from doing what they want to do.
Now keeping with my analogy. An idealist knows that a rose makes great tea, so it should make even better soup? J
