Actually, since he's running as an independent, and because many dems, especially in the base, have become so polarized, I doubt his running will have much effect UNLESS it's a closer election than I think....I see Nadar getting less than 1.5% this go round.

Agreed Yerusalem. The Greens will probably nominate him post-defacto (the same way the Socialist Labor party nominated FDR in 36 even though the DNC already had. Like that example,. he doesn't have to accept their endorsement, but it doesn't matter much anyway. This will come down to a two-way race. No ifs, ands, Perots, Buchanans, or Nadars about it.

Would be nice if you 2 were right....guess you've polished up your crystal balls, eh?
I'm not totally convinced .... and if nothing else, he will be a continuing distraction. Some of us thought the 2000 election was a 2 way race. Actually it ended up being a 1 way race, thanks to the Supreme Court...

Yes, Justice Scalia won that race, easily.

Bisous,
Ya mean as oppossed to the Florida supreme court making it a selective one man race with their selective recount nonsense? 2000 is over, Gore lost...live with it.
Yeru/....throwing jabs.

sounds like you've got a Hanging Chad that is irritating you, Yeru. You should get that looked at.

I'm at peace with how things finally came down in 2000, it seems those chads are irritating the skins of other more liberal members of this illustrious board.

Anytime the democratic process is trampled on, and a president is elected who did not win the majority of votes.. yeah, that does get under my skin. I would have been bothered if the Gore had won wrongly, also.

GIT,
Gore would have won wrongly, here in the US the President is determined by electoral votes, not popular votes...and thank God, could you imagine a recount of the entrie country?
