Actually, my Dad became like that, a few years before he died.

He continually refused to DF when he was on a JC. It caused mayhem in Matlock in Derbyshire.

Friend or no friend, when there's an injustice, I jump in. If a so-called friend of mine committs an injustice, I let him know.

I would absolutely stand up for a friend or family member who was being dealt with unjustly.

    sniggers @ pope.

I would stick up for someone, infact doing so eventually led me to be lableed "rebelious towards jehovah's direction (through the elders of course)", I stuck up for someone suicidle and they didnt like it.

On line I would stick up for someone if they were being treated badly, however I would be less inclined to jump in so quickly if I thought defending the person would be more likely to keep sending the thread to the top and bring more accusations against the person. Except if anyone picked on my biaatches, then I'd dive in head first :)

Yes, I would and yes I have. I went to the elders and stuck up for everyone because my husband and his brother would not. I took the Awake! article "You Must Assist Those Who Are Weak" to them because our new PO had been giving talks saying things like: Strong ones, do not associate with your weaker brothers and sisters. Weak ones, if you want to hang out with us strong then you better get strong. He even said that 10 hours a month were "garbage hours". I was respectful when I pointed out the article. I even had my husband in tow.

I stuck up for our whole retail team at work.We had one very mean manager. For a while after that I got my hours cut and my evals were bad. But finally the other managers noticed what I was saying was true. This retail manager was bad for moral and bad for our business. She is no longer with our store. I am still there though and I just got a great eval.

I was feeling discouraged about my job problems when I happened on a greeting card that put it all in perspective. There was a drawing of a little creature standing in a ransacked office. The caption said, "Congratulations! While everyone else was kissing a$$. You were kicking a$$."

I did once -- I thought the CO was going to remove me as an elder (it is not wise unless you have very strong proof such as letter to Body of Elders or other such support -- you know a paragraph from Pay Attention) anyway , a few years later I Resigned as an elder anyway
