Enumerate reasons why the JW's are Hated or Disliked

  It seems like you are playing fast and loose with your premises. Let's just say that most ex-JWs have a disliking of the Watchtower that borders on fanatical hatred and the rest of the world is somewhere between hatred and "don't give a f*ck." So the bottom line is...most people don't hate Jehovah's Witnesses, unlike what you said in your original post -- which was said only because everyone here hates Jehovahs Witnesses (as you later admitted). Um, yeah. See the problem?

  JH, when you say "around here", I figured you meant on this board, and when you said "look at the victims" I figured you meant XJW's.

  Maybe you'd like to share why you hate JW's... or is it the WTS that you hate? All I know is you feel strongly about it, more strongly than the people in my life.

  I don't hate the witnesses as a whole; there are a few great ones, a few awful ones, and a whole lot of in-betweens, just as with any group of people. Their religion sucks, though.

  The reasons I HATE the Watchtower Society:

  They shelter known child molesters.

  They treat women as inferior beings.

  They use ancient rules on dietary restrictions to justify withholding a lifesaving blood transfusion from a dying child.

  They turn sex, in all its beautiful forms, into something dirty.

  They force their followers to shun their own family members who have different beliefs.

  I could go on, but these are the main sore points I have with them.

  This is an easy one. JWs are disliked becuase they preach. People give s*** about religion. You talk to people about anything and they will be happy. Anything but religion.

  I think they're disliked because they are always right, will pound you over the head with their beliefs, but will turn tail and run when engaged in debate or discussion. Nothing is more frustrating to someone who someone who wants an intelligent discussion.

  Smugness, moral superiority issues, general superiority issues.

  Some people understand it's a cult and get pretty upset about that instead of just laughing about it.

  I found most JWs wanted to be hated and disliked. That's how they felt they were doing what's right. Unfortunately for them they just didn't realize they were being jerks by constantly relating everything to religion, or knocking on people's doors at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.

  I mean, don't poke a sleeping dog with at stick and then get surprised when it barks at you. The witnesses seem to be masters at being petulant, self-righteous morons -- generally that's not a very affable combo.
