Armageddon Dreaming...

I had this horrible nightmare a couple of nights ago which I haven't told anyone, fearing that they'll all conclude that it's my conscience warning me. Here's how I remember it:

Remember the biblical prophecy that mentions when Christ comes back again "all eyes will see him"? Well, in this nightmare people could look up to the skies and see these large armies of angels in white horses lined up as if waiting for an order to charge and looking down on us all. It was an impressive sight, it's still very fresh in my mind.

This sight paralyzed the planet!!! Everyone everywhere was able to contemplate this, so people were stopping in their tracks to look up above, and people calling one another in their phones and cells to the point that there was failure throughout the world due to so much overload, and the same crash with computers! Many accidents on the road, in the air, in the train tracks, everywhere, all because of the amazement caused by this overwhelming sight!!!

Then nothing happened immediately. Nothing at all happened for days and days, so this impressive sight which remained the same lost its luster and shock value.

Scientists began explaining how the clouds due to some unexplained event lined up in such a way to give the appearance it had; and in time people believed their theory and just resumed their everyday lives as before, thus fullfiling the prophecy that "people would continue going about their everyday living business and not pay attention to the sign". It would be rainny, sunny, snowing, any weather, but still people could see the same army-like formation in the distance above.

Days, months would pass, and all different religions would try to give their best about what the heck the formation was according to biblical prophecy, but since life had resumed to its everyday rituals, nobody paid attention anymore.

Then one day, suddently, it all happened. The armies received a thunder-like command that everyone heard and understood in their own language and then they were seen as changing down towards earth. The same paralyzing effect and shock took place once more, but this time it was more so because these masses where charging down on us and seeming closer and bigger by the second!

In what it seemed in my nightmare like only a second, with the loudest noise ever heard, all came crashing down and what I experienced next freaked me out even as I typed these letters....

I watched absolutely terrorized the large armies of angels in white horses charging down towards us all, towards me, and in a millionth of a second there was a shutdown in my mind and body alike; sort of like it happens when you turn off the TV... Just like that! I had been striken out... This is what woke me up.

It was all so vivid, so real, so absolutely possible!!!

Please now you all tell me how you've dreamed about, or have mentally pictured Armageddon to be.

I'm fasinated by the way some xjw's have similar nightmares. I'm lucky... I never *really* believed what they taught me. I just went along to keep everyone around me happy (people pleaser).

Dreams like that are just a sign of how much they influenced you... people who are raised in other religions experience dreams based on what they were taught.

Over time, things like this will go away as you take on a new life and replace old teachings with new.

Gee, Elsewhere, I sure hope you're right.

I mean, I had never ever had an Armageddon dream like this! This was so vivid that it freaked me out and scared the heck out of me!!!

I can honestly say that I have never had an "armageddon" dream once I left the JWs. The closest I think I came to that was I dreamed once I found myself out in service for some odd reason, and wondred what the hell I was doing, there dressed in jeans, a tshirt, and my old bookbag, and then even funnier, wondering what my presentation would be. I had plenty of Armageddon dreams when I WAS a JW though, and they freaked me out. That and those "Demon" dreams where I thought I dreamed I was attacked by a demon and couldnt speak out to the Big Feller for help, suffocating. That's just part of a large cultural hypnosis we shared.

It's probably just your mind trying to work things out in its own odd way. Eventually they will subside.

Thanks Gitasatsangha! Hope you're correct on the theory of my mind working things out.

    Thanks again!

I used to have nightmares of being in my grandfather's home, or an old abandoned house, or a room near a small crawl space door. I could feel the demons as they got closer. Sometimes they would totally surround me and create a total sleep parralis. I would wake up screaming Jehovah, sweating, trying to catch my breath. I had these while I was a witness to about 5 years afterward. Usaully one every 5 years. I finally had a dream where I was in a room with two small children, a boy and a girl about 6 to 8 years old. The room was well lit and the children had gifts. Still yet I knew these children where the same demons whom haunted me for years; but I wasn't scared! In that dream I felt I was healed and haven't had those dreams sense.

I did have an amazing Armageddon dream in my late teens or early twenties. It was nothing less than a true experience in my mind. The lights in the horizon were more beautiful than anything I have ever seen! "Encounter of the Third Kind" X 1000! I just stood there as the lights began to consume the sky; lights of all the spectrum. Then, a little white curly haired dog crossed my path. I ran to the dog and tried to kick it! My foot went right through the dog and he continued on his way. But, since my kick did not effect the dog, this meant that this was God coming in the lights! I was overcome by an unbelievable feeling of true love (also atainable by a motorcycle helmet with electromagnets). I always wished I could have that dream again.

By the way, I felt sure the lights were the aliens whom set us here long ago (in my dream of course).

When I first left I had a few dreams where I found at a meeting in the KH. In the whole dream I kept wondering why I was there because I had no desire to be there at all. Everyone was shunning me per the instructions of the WTS and I kept wondering why I was there taking that $#!+ from everyone.

The dream always ended on an up note... my finally walking out of the KH never to return.
