Why do they put 40 year shingles on Kingdom Halls?

As to 40-year shingles, most JWs expect KHs and WTS buildings to survive into the new system and be used as hubs of spiritual activity.

I have always wondered who was going to repair and man the infrastructure, like electricity, sewer, water, etc.

A KH without electricity, sewer, and water, wouldn't even make a good outhouse.

good question, since they're told to be "no part of the world" and such. we will all live to see the end!! why invest in the future if you don't believe in it? why have stock if you know that you're not going to live for the benefits? blah blah blah.

"Hubs of spirituality" you say eh, Blondie. Would that be child molestation center? What kind of "activities" would qualify as "spiritual" in a post-Harmaggedon world?

Carmel, you realize of course, that I am a fader and have not been in a "hub of activity" for over a year. I left because the KHs are really not hubs of spirituality and I know of at least one that my molester goes to.

As to the WTS delusions, they expect to be cleaning up the bodies and the destroyed buildings, gathering the spoils of the earth to the KH for fair distribution to the survivors.

The Witness people told me not to get an education or think about getting married and having a family in this old world . . . since the *new world* was SOOOO near. That was 1960. They put 40 year shingles on the Kingdom Hall then and they had to replace them once already. Then they had to replace the whole Kingdom Hall.

After I got the education they told me not to get, they called me and asked me to tell them how to do things that I learned from that education. Anybody relate to this?
