Shotgun... you know what is odd is that I have been craving hot and spicey food. Yesterday I had to fight to urge to go get some spicey boiled crawfish.

(((Elsewhere))) I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. Anything over 102 fever in an adult would make one quite sick. For your temperature to reach 104 even, serious bells should go off, and your doctor should have admitted you to the hospital when your fever reached 105!!! With that temperature, the danger of dehydration increases drastically, and also you are probably not thinking straight (delirrium), which could cause you to accidentally "overmedicate" yourself...not only that, but "seeing some strange visual stuff for sure"!! Nina must be so worried about you.
Gosh, either get a new thermometer or a new doctor. Something just doesn't sound right. Feel better!!

That's what tonsils are for. They are doing their job. Be glad you still have them.
Sorry you are feeling so bum..................drink lots of water and sleep a lot!!!!

alternating between tylenol and advil. My Dr. said that when you do that the fever reducing effect is much stronger. (Don't take them at the same time, take one, let the dosage time pass and then take the other....)
It actually works *best* if you "stagger" the doses. For example, both Tylenol and Advil work for about 4 hours, and the peak effect of both medications occur at around 2 hours after you take it. If you take one drug and then wait the whole 4 hours before taking a dose of the other medication, the effects of the first drug have worn off and you can end up feeling yuckky all over again. However, if you take the other medication at the point where the first drug is peaking, your fever (and pain if you have that) control will be better because by the time the first drug is wearing off, the second one will be at its peak effectiveness.
So, if I were looking after you, I'd be giving you Tylenol at 12:00, 4:00, and 8:00, and Advil at 2:00, 6:00 and 10:00.

Yeah, at one point I was so out of it, I could not remember if I had taken my dose of anti-biotics or not just a few minutes before... I ended up having to pour out all the pill and count them to see how many I had already taken.
I noticed that I would only get that hot at night... durring the day I would drop to 100 or so. What I started doing was to sleep on an ice-pack with only a thin sheet covering me and with the heater turned off. Doing this would lower me to about 101 or so.
I hate it when I have a fever like that... I get all delirious and have freaky weird dreams.
Fortunatly, just a few hours after waking up with the 105.3 fever my fever broke and I have been near normal (about 99 or 100) since. I think the anti-biotics have finally kicked in... but it sure as hell too long enough! I'm just waiting for the "bla" feeling to go away and for my tonsils to return to normal... they still look REAL bad.
they still look REAL bad
Don't post pictures. I'm still recovering from that recluse spider thread you started. Yuck.

You like 100 percent sure you're not pregnant?
Cause I only crave spicy things when I'm pregnant.
Just thought I'd check.
