Try taking some echinacea (an herb) too. That always helps me alot with a sore throat. That, garlic, vitamin C, and zinc. That is, if you're into the "alternative" stuff... hehehhh. <no that wasn't a perv statement>

Jeez, I used to get that, it's sooooooo yuccky, the fevers are scary, see little things crawling on the walls.
I like spicy food when I'm sick, too.
Sounds like you're doing the right things. What a good tip about the meds. Glad you're feeling better, now pound those liquids into ya! (and that hot salt-water gargling - used to really help my tonsils)

. If I had a temp. like that I would have gone to the hospital, Especially when it hit 105.3. You must have been delirious. I would think a strong dose of !V anti biotic would have done the trick and when your tonsils and all the sinis and sores clear in your throat I would ask the doctor to remove the tonsils. It really doesn't hurt and in the future you will have less problems with ear nose and throat infections.
This is the perscription from Orangefatcat, take two asprins and call me in the morning.

I'm sorry you have been so sick! I can't believe you lived to tell about your 105.3° temp! When I've been sick enough to have a 103° temp, I literally thought I was dying, so I can not imagine what it has been like to be you lately!
I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better, and that you have provided comfort for your "boys". I've no doubt that you'll be glad you did!
Now go - and be fully recovered!
