You're angry and thoroughly pissed off with all things apertaining to Jehovah's witnesses.

You also know that this thread will be read by active JW's. Some of those JW's will be in the Brooklyn bethel right now, reading what you write.

So, is there one thing, one belief, one policy, that, if it were to be changed or anulled, would mollify you?

Is there one change that they could make that would stop or lessen the active antagonism that you feel against the WT?

    Just one change, remember!

    Let's tell 'em right now!

    okay, here's mine:

    1. blood doctrine, role of women, shunning, DFing, 144,000 go to heaven, the governing body is god's mouthpiece, field service, five meetings a week, sex before marriage, birthdays, other holidays.

Now ask me for number 2.

Well, yeah! But. But but but...! You have to imagine that they've just had some new light, so they are going to make a change and announce it in the WT or at an assembly. Is there just one change that would appease you? Englishman.

read the parable of the prodigal son. He wasn't shunned when he decided to visit his father after blowing his inheritance on whores and wine.

read the scripture which tells you not to go beyond what is written (and then show me the scripture that bans beards). This itself should make you question your faith in your publishing company.

Yes, this is my biggy too.

It's the separation from family that caused my anger and resentment for many years.

Maybe they need to learn that bloods thicker than water, eh?

The greatest, most monumental, most profound new light that should be proclaimed on the front page of their WatchTower magazine for all the world to see is; It is all a joke! We do not even know who God is!

All the articles inside should be apologies to everyone inside and outside the WTS and explainations of how they will sell off all their assets and start a fund to compensate all those they hurt and give a refund to all the active members. Also articles encouraging all members and ex members to get counseling at their expense of course! Maverick

Englishman, absolutely not. I wish for all those who don't already know that the Watchtower is nothing but a cult.............just a bunch of stolen ideas that have been stitched together to try to give credence to the men who run the organization. From the outside, they are impressive looking........but, and I paraphrase Jesus' words here: "inside they are full of dead men's bones and every sort of unclean thing". There is nothing worth saving inside the Watchtower.

They need to apologize for fostering a callous, indifferent attitude towards the "flock", which then morphs into so many other despicable things such as shunning.

Englishman, you asked: "Is there just one change that would appease you?" No, there isn't. The organization is rotten to the core, there is no saving it, nor is there any chance of my going back. BTW, how do I do those cool copy someone elses text in my reply? I'd love to be able to do that.

    If the actually lived this:

Mark 12 (Message Bible) 30 so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.' 31 And here is the second: "Love others as well as you love yourself.' There is no other commandment that ranks with these."

Everything else would fall into place.
