I saw this run on the screen on GMA this morning without detail's and was wondering what this was all about. She ain't no beauty queen and to save a child having a c-section which will produce a scar is a minor thing. What a loving mother.Thank's for the posting. KLS

A good mediator lawyer would have her cite religious convictions. 1) This was not in the bible. 2) woman is supposed to suffer pain - so no easy way out 3) Pagan practice - Caesar - Caesarian. 4) If child dies because of parental beliefs it should be of no consequence.

"I've never refused a C-section. I've already had two prior C-sections. Why would I say something like that?" Ms Rowland said.

Dr. Christian Morgan, a family practice doctor who regularly performs C-sections at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, said he had never seen vertical skin incisions performed at LDS Hospital for a first-time C-section.

I suppose there was a fear of having a classical incision performed on her (?) I wonder what else could have been done to prevent this? Tragic story.

Oh, so now the united states government has the right to put it's eyes on every woman who gets pregnant. The govt will hold her responsible if anything should happen, even naturally that would interfere w the end result of a live, healthy baby. Hello! Can you say 'police state'?

This woman has a MENTAL ILLNESS. She has unreasonable fears. I don't think she is fully responsible for her lousy decision making.

Another issue that still steams me is the way the Montreal Massacre is memorialized as a women's issue. That crazy old professor dude was MENTALLY ILL. No matter how much he may have hated woman, if he had been normal, he would not have shot up campus.
