Sick of "prophecies"

Thank you for correcting my typo, obviously I meant "has" rather than "was."

I have been studying the book of Isaiah for a couple of years and it is apparent to me that there are many things that Jehovah has not yet revealed to his organization as a whole. That thought is born out in the verse at Isaiah 48:6-7, which reads: "I have made you hear new things from the present time, even things kept in RESERVE, that you have not known. At the present time they must be created, and not from that time, even things that before today you have not heard, that you may not say, 'Look! I have already known them."'

These things that God has in reserve are prophecies that his people have not been allowed to discern fully. In some cases we have misapplied certain things, as did the apostles, so in that way God conceals his secrets from his servants until such time as he is ready to reveal them. What this means then, as far as the apostasy is concerned, is that Jehovah has dismissed those from his organization with disinformation yet they imagine that they are fully informed and know all that is to be known about the Bible. It is the same principle that caused Jesus to publicly praise Jehovah for concealing his truth from the intellectuals of his day and revealing them to babes. In my estimation the book of Isaiah is the primary key to deciphering all the other prophecies. / You Know

A lot of the so-called prophecies in the Bible are nothing more than the over-interpretations of ignoramuses like You Know, who have zero understanding of the world around them. Really, of how much value are "prophecies" like:

    There will be earthquakes.
    There will be sickness.
    There will famine.
    There will be war.
    The grass will be green.
    Men will lust after women.
Men will rove about in the earth.
    Men will persecute men.
    Men will not believe prophecies.

Anyone who thinks that such "predictions" mean anything deserves what he gets.

    Looking,

You are right, prophecies are irrelevant.

If you are living a good loving life toward your neighbor, you are following the message of the Bible. Everything else will take care of itself.

Why would the almighty God of the universe...Resort to using convoluted opended prophesies that are open to innumerable interpretations?

Jesus answers that question for you at Matthew 13:11. The disciples in fact asked him essentially the same question, asking: "Why is it you speak to them by the use of illustrations?" Jesus replied:"To you it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, but to these people it is not granted" Then Jesus quotes Isaiah about those "seeing" but not getting the sense of it. So, yes, obviously some portions of the Sacred Scriptures are encrypted so as not to be understood until God's due time. Obviously too, if the anointed were allowed to understand everything all at once, then they would publish that so that unworthy ones could understand the sacred secrets, so that's why God allows his own servants to misinterpret some things so as to test them and give disinformation to the unworthy presumptuous ones.

When we want our children to do something, or feel that they are in danger, we TELL THEM in a not so hard to figure out way!

That's true. And Jehovah does the same thing. What's so hard to understand, "Go, preach!" Or, "Abstain from blood"? But the fact is, that not all are God's children. So, because the Bible is pretty much available to everyone, even the Devil's children have access to it. So, while they can understand the simple things, Jehovah has chosen to encrypt the prophetic part of his word because he doesn't want the unworthy ones to have access to it. Humans use the same method of communication. For example on the Internet you might have your credit card info encoded so as to prevent thieves from stealing your card number. Or during war time each army encodes messages to as to prevent the enemy from having sensitive information. That's then basically why Jehovah speaks in a cryptic fashion, so that his spirit can open the minds of his deserving ones at the appropriate time while leaving the others in the dark. That's the thought behind the parable of the 10 virgins. The five who foolishly neglected to have any oil represent those who imagine that they are enlightened, but when crunch time comes they find out that they are spiritually depleted and can't find the way through the dark. / You Know

    You Know,

What is your interpretation of a "worthy one"? You keep using that phrase. Since all are imperfect, and all sin, why would one be more worthy than the other. If your defining worthy as a type of "heart condition", or someones attitude, why wouldn't God help to correct that attitude, not condemn ones for it? And why do you interpret it as bad for ANYONE to have the whole truth, even if they are unworthy, what would be the horrible consequences?

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. What did you mean by "worthy ones"?

    Thanks,

    looking,

I can tell you what you know will say. Worthy is defined as those loyal to the "faithful and discreet slave".

You apparently need to go back to TRUTH 101. There are two different powers in the world, reflecting the fact that there are two different gods. There are two different camps of humans depending on which god you follow. Presently the Devil's children and Jehovah's children are co-mingling. During the judgment period that will no longer be the case. The two seeds will come into sharp contrast and the enmity will boil over into a final all-out war. Leading up to that, Jehovah will cause a separation of the so called sheep and goats. So that's why Jehovah has held a considerable portion of his word in reserve until after the Devil's seed has been dismissed from association with us. Those whom God considers worthy are those who have faith in him, it's that simple. They are the ones willing to wait on him to straighten things out and correct his servants. The unworthy refuse to faithfully wait on God or allow him to adjust their thinking. When things really get scary it will be evident who are the worthy ones and who are not. / You Know

Thanks You Know. I can't say that I agree with you, but I appreciate your bearing with me on this line of reasoning. I totally disagree in the two camps theory. According to the bible all mankind was created by God, and we are all his children. Some may not believe, or want to recognize this, but they are STILL God's children.

    Thanks again,
