  Well in that case Deut. 32:6 says :
  "Is this the way you repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?"

  He is the father of "foolish and unwise people", along with the wise.

  So there you have it, a classic paradox. It's up to you to resolve how God could be a Father and at the same time not be a Father. (HINT: Jesus said that the Jews were from their father the Devil. In what sense is the Devil a father?)

  I do appreciate you reminding of the "your father the devil" scripture. It definately warrants some more looking into on my part. But surely you recognize that if the bible "plainly says" something as you put it, it can not at the same time be a "classic paradox". I will certainly put this down as a good research point for sometime soon.

  How about, seeing this board has a fairly funky engine, if we do have to live with the 'newest post at top' rather than 'newest thread at top', we all promise to post in the relevent forum? No one does, so let's do it.
