My question is what possessed you all to live in an army camp?
Was it about getting favours from god?
I remember sisters going on about young bethel men when they graced us with their presence like something good had happened.
One fancied my sister(blood) for marriage but my mega materialistic sister wouldn't even contemplate someone that couldn't keep her the way god intended.
She later married an equally materiallistic JW and they having been at each other's throats over money for 20 years.

I guess these posts were all from men ? And it was about when you were young ? Being YOUNG has a lot to do with enjoying practically anything. I feel sorry for the old men who wasted their lives there and have nothing to show for it. Young, full of energy and surrounded with other people, it has nothing to do with religion guys, or "being in the truth" its just youth that enabled you to survive. How thoughtless of the GB though, that were no basketball courts, exercise rooms, pool tables, swimming pool, movie theater, or recreation planned. They even have those things in a Penitentiary.

I always wondered about the logistics of so many in one location, needing to attend congos far away.
At least in Brooklyn, you have transit.
What is it like now, as well as when everything in Brooklyn is gone?

They do a lot of driving, sometimes 30-45 minutes to get to the Hall. The young brothers typically don't have cars, so they carpool with others assigned to a given congregation.
