  Of course. I did after leaving Jehovah's Witnesses, and I was a real mess back then. This board, and the people I've met, have been a great and positive influence for me. I've learned a lot, and so many people here have taught me so much. I've made some good friends here, and I hope they feel the same for me.

  Simon and Ang have put up with so much, and received so little in return, that I don't know how or if I'll ever be able to repay them for this discussion board..

  Like so much in life, you only receive what you send out.

  well Scooby..even though I am a Forum Assitant I am entitled to my opinion AS A REGULAR AND FREQUENT USER OF THIS BOARD.... Sorry you don't agree, but I have nothing else, but my personal opinions. Tired of hearing it? wahhh...

  Simon and Ang have put up with so much, and received so little in return

  i am sure they didnt start the board to get something in return. they are ex witnesses with good hearts like the rest of us and i'm sure the satisfaction of knowing they have provided a means for hundreds or thousands of people to connect with others who can help them through a horrible experience is more than enough for them.

  personally, i feel satisfaction every time i get an email or a message from someone who says i helped them by something i said or shared about myself. it makes me feel good and knowing i helped someone through a tough time is enough to keep me sharing my experiences no matter how embarrasing or traumatic. the tons of messages of appreciation they get from sincerely grateful members, i'm sure they would agree, is a lot in return.

  Likewise Valis...... firstly though I was not expressing an opinion here, just posing a hypothetical question. I am of course able to express my opinions here (usually) to an extent. I try not to break the code of conduct on posting guidelines when I do, though I know I've crossed that line in lets say "questioning" which brings e neatly to the next point.

  You Valis however need to check I think its maybe in the first 5, I swear theres something there that fits your above post, you of all people particularly as forum assistant should be more vigilant.....call it setting an example.

  But this topic has gone off topic.......It wasn't what would your lasting memories be if JWD shut down tommorow, it was If JWD shut down tommorow....would you be strong enough to carry on...without this forum. In other words how central has it become in your life?
