If you think you have a better alternative, then please step up to the plate and make your case.

It's one thing to bash a world leader for his faults, real or imagined. It takes a lot of effort and thinking to suggest a replacement for him or her.

Whom do you suggest we should replace Bush with, Simon? And please state why your replacement would be better. We are eager for facts. It's obvious you hate Bush, and I'm ok with that. I respect your right to freedom of thought. But, if we Americans have to replace Bush with someone better, we'd better know who that someone better is, and WHY someone better can do a better job.

If I didn't know better, I'd think this in reference to the WTBTS. As it is EXACTLY what is stated by the majority of jws online in yahoo chatrooms...

"What do you have to offer that is better than jw/wt org?" "What are the alternatives?"

So what is the difference between Bush and the WTBTS, in this reference?

In his interview with Woodward, conducted over two days in December of last year, Bush displayed no second thoughts about Iraq's postwar miseries or the failure to turn up any WMD. "I haven't suffered doubt," he told Woodward.

He hasn't "suffered doubt". Interesting that he uses religious terminology when answering factual questions.

I guess for him to doubt whether he did the right thing would mean that he would have to entertain the idea that maybe the Lord wasn't guiding him, something that his simplistic religious mind couldn't accommodate.

Yup, Bush is scary, ya got that one right.

Many past leaders have asked guidance from above...like this great leader.

"You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory -- victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival." SWC

God have mercy on the United States, and the World, should Kerry accidentally win the presidency. THAT is what's scary.

That's the problem I have with the Bush bashers (and even formerly the Clinton bashers ala Rush). What answers do YOU have? I voted for Bush, and there are things I don't like about his policy. He doesn't seem to be doing much to stem the tide of good jobs leaving the US. Kerry talks about doing something, but what is he going to day? He just doesn't say.

What do you suggest Simon? Have the UN take care of the threats in the world? Oh, yeah, that works great. Trust nations like Iran and Syria to do the right thing? Uh-huh, that's going to happen. Again, I ask over and over again. What if Bush would have attacked Afghanistan before 9/11? We would have had the same protests as we see about Iraq. What if Bush didn't do anything about Iraq and three years from now there is a terrorist attack and we find out that the weapons came from Iraq? People would be screaming "Bush, why didn;t you do something? You had the reports!" Blah blah blah.

This world is one screwed up place. I'll take my chances with Bush until a better canidate comes along. If Kerry is elected, God help us.

LMAO at most of the comments; cannot even deign to reply since--there's just no substance there. But this one gets the award:

He hasn't "suffered doubt". Interesting that he uses religious terminology when answering factual questions.

So, "suffered doubt" now has a RELIGOUS connotation? By what pathetically anti-Bush rules do you figure THAT?

Don't fault Kerry: after all his latest anti-Bush tirade actually has a lot of merit. He is accusing Bush of working with the Saudi government to KEEP OIL PRICES DOWN in the US--yeah, right around election time. Outrageous!

We want a guy who will fight to keep our oil prices HIGH!!

I didn't consider it a stretch at all.

Bush still thinks he will find WMD. What kind of lunatic continues to insist that something is there when nothing can be found? I guess it's now God testing his resolve . GaG . They intentionally lied to the american people so they could hack people to pieces in the middle east using fear and suspicion to create a sense of urgency not to mention the oil and monies from rebuilding . Bush has got to go .
