Why I think Bush is scary

I was about to comment that one must get their news sources from various places (in response to Simons post), and guess what? A pop up add from the Voice of America!

    True story! How 'bout that?

Now, that is an unusual happening. I am certainly not claiming that this site lets in pop-ups. Other than this discussion, I hit on the Planned Parenthood Site today, and noted how anti-Republican the site was.

I wonder if that is connected?

What I think is scary is visiting an organizations website, and being targeted for political influence!

Why is it that a pro choice republican needs "back up propoganda" as if democrats are the only ones in favor of pro-choice?

I don't think there is enough evidence to conclude anything on the jordan incident . There are al quaeda ties all over that area including saudi arabia . We have people in the USA who are trying to make that kinda of stuff in their basement , who's to say where secret labs are in the world? BTW I am chilled out .

In Woodward's portrait, President Bush is single-minded, and possibly simple-minded, in his resolve.

Simon, what surprises me is that it's not obvious to every American that Bush is simple minded. He can't even speak English well enough to get through a speech without many uhs, ums, mispronounced words as well as made up ones. I am completely floored by his lack of intelligence as well as common sense.

This man thinks we are all of the 1940 to 1960 mentality. War will impress us. Promise of a quest to send men to Mars will impress us. I bet he thinks we'd all prefer to watch Howdy Doody, too.

I don't expect anyone to agree with me. These days you get accused of not being patriotic if you don't want to worship at Bush's feet. How misguided is such an attitude? This is a country that boasts of freedom of speech. I wonder what happened.

I am going to register to vote. I am going to vote against Bush. We need this dangerous man out of the White House. I only hope Kerry will be wiser than Bush when it comes to this war in Iraq. Otherwise, he'll need to be voted out as well.

The truly scary thing is just how much success he has. It reminds one of the anti-intellectual bent of so many idealogically driven despots. It's as if a large portion of the American public puts on the *dumb guy* voice and says "uh, yeah, th' president don't need 'a be all that smart....shoot, they told me I could grow up t'be president when I was a kid". Maybe they think that since smart people don't have all the answers, dumb people can do just as good a job of leading. Big mistake.

Six, sadly funny. I always have thought W. probably has said something similar in the past. The man is a manchild. I really like his wife though. Among her many good qualities are patience and tolerance.

I am not a democrat. I am not a republican. I do like John McCain. I'm not bowled over with Kerry.

Bush needs to go home and take up playing with his toys again. Life is just a big playground to him. He IS the cliche: The difference between man and boy is the price tag of his toys. The tragic thing is that his little plastic green army men have become flesh and blood soldiers and civilians. He got Saddam. Enough. Give us a concrete sensable plan for getting out of Iraq. My friend's son, a Marine reserve, made it home safely. In July he is going back. He was set to get out of the Marines in July.Edit: These are real men, women and children dying and being permanently maimed over there. They are not statistics. They have hope, dreams and families who love them. I believe people will fool themselves into believing Bush because not to believe him would mean having to face up to this carnage.

There's not yet, but there's enough evidence to discuss it. for months we've heard every hateful thing imaginable about our President. Now with the possibility that we was 100% correct; there's alot of clamming up I think...

"Trust us, we're telling the truth"

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

(although I wasn't fooled the first time)

This is just cranking up the propaganda machine to lead the mindless masses to back a war.

And as for Jordan ... she has humungous ones ! (brits will know what I mean)

I'm not naive enough to believe everything I hear, nor to believe that my Gov't couldn't be lying to me. On the contrary, I believe my Gov't always lies all the time, always has and always will (no matter who is in office).

BUT, I find it funny that when Kerry throws ridiculous accusations towards Bush (like the Saudi oil price thing), there are people here that jump right on it as fact just because they hate Bush. It may be human nature to believe what you want to believe, but it's not reality. When something like this pops up, they won't acknowledge that there's even a remote chance this could be truth. Oh no, this horrible and cruel American President is telling lies about this innocent Iraqi leader. There's no way he could have been producing WMD, he has no history of it at all, he's not a murderer or a tyrant. It's all the fault of the American people for backing a monster like Bush. And as for Jordan, King Abdullah must be lying for his American friends (even though he's not thrilled with the US himself nowadays - side note; I don't blame him!).

Grow up already, if it were propaganda, the Bush administration would be all over it by now. There's no proof as of yet that these weapons came from Saddam, just enough to make you wonder how nerve gas that (up until now) was believed only produced in Iraq, wound up coming across the Syrian border. And, more importantly, via a country where Iraqi scientists claim the WMD were transported days before the war began.

You'd just think it'd be enough to at least make people consider a different idea. It's apparent that some are set in their ways and wouldn't see fact if it slapped them in their face.
