    Okay, here tomorrow's clue....

Day 7AmSouth / Holiday In Dixie Treasure Hunt Clue 8
When discerning the hue, look near something to do. An early attraction could be near the clue.

We didn't have any luck looking for it tonight but we were positive we were in the right area....we were looking around the planetarium that is next to a park, fair grounds, swimming pool, and museum.....we just couldn't find it.....how frustrating! I just know it is in that area but it is such a big area...finding it will be tough. Plus, there were a couple of guys that beat us to the area (must have had the same thoughts about it)....but they didn't have any luck either....lol and some woman saw my husband looking under a park bench and yelled across the street to him, "it ain't under there"...

We had to quit as soon as it started getting dark. That area of town is dangerous after dark....

Oh, and thanks Blondie...yes that is the website for it...we've been keeping up with it...they update it nightly.....

An early attraction could be near the clue.

Anyone have any ideas on what an "early attraction" would be?

There is a museum right next to the planetarium that has an pool in the back that use to have alligators in it. I think it is dry and deserted now but is a museum property considered public property?

Okay, here is the next clue...

Day 8AmSouth / Holiday In Dixie Treasure Hunt Clue 9
Could it be Shreveport, or maybe it's Bossier, The shifting sands can stir your composure.

This makes us think we are in the completely wrong area. Now we are thinking it is down along the red river somewhere.....oh well, we'll keep thinking....

The early attraction could be one of the planets. I just heard on the news a couple weeks ago about the planets being in alignment, and they mentioned one of the planets can be seen just above the horizon just before the sun comes up. I will try to find out which planet it is----AHHHHH I think I may have it. Could it be Mars??? Mars has a red hue, Shifting sands. I will go online and try to do some research. Maybe the prize is hidden right below where Mars can be seen as it goes above the horizon??? Now you have me frantic to figure it out! Will try to help you out!!!

Me again-Tomorrow before dawn, if it is clear out, go outside, somewhere where you can see the horizon. You should see a kinda brightish red twinkle, try to figure if that is Mars. See what direction it is, and what town lies below it in that direction. Will try to figure out more...

Hi! I am looking at my planetary sky charts, and I will try to describe for you how to find Mars. If you look towards the west a couple of hours before sunrise, you will see a Bright star, should be one of the brightest ones, but is not actually a star, as it will be Venus. You may even see a small sliver of the moon almost below it. Pretend that when you look at venus, you see a clock. Pretend that venus is the 4 on a clock, and then look over to the left and look for the "10", as on a clock. It will not be too far left, remember, pretend it is a clock. At the 10 point you should see a small reddish dot, that is mars. Follow that straight down, and see if it sits right above some type of hill in your area. That "hill" is where I would look. I would bet that this is the clue!!! Below is a site where you can get more info. Good luck!!! To the west to the west...

Percival Lowell back in the 1800's was actually the first person to describe Mars in great detail, and published a book about it!

Hey Desi,,,,Dede here... I was raised in shreveport and havent a clue about these crazy things they do every year.

Are you talking about the planitarium down on the river front? Did you go there...Barnswell center there.

We used to have our circuit assemblies there,,,we would take our breaks and go sit at the planatarium,,,it was so pretty. There are walk ways where you can just about pick up a rock and hit the river.

Sifting sand.....?? the sand bar?? right on the red river??

The clue makes me think that is is right on the bossier . caddo parish line....what devides the caddo and bossier line??? the red river!!!!

Something that may come early,,,,could be a blossom of a plant,,,,not sure would have to go back to that one.
