Fine sorry I mean people of low on the economic totem poll. Actually thats the odd thing is paper intellegence ie going to college passing the test the same as the intellegence that was implied by the rise of mankind. If you want facts anyway Ill find them but can you describe what ones you want.

I wonder if eventually, mankind will realize that instead of relying on a "God", they will start realizing that they must rely on each other in order to keep from total annhilation of the human race. Religion seems to be an emotional thing for people, maybe those emotions can be used in a productive way for the betterment of the human race.

Thats why mankind invented religion. Nobody "relies" on God except maybe JWs (procrastination). It is all to get people to join together. Eygtp had a sweet religion. It was just like JWism too. I am sorry we lost it. Cuz they pulled together some tight **** with their religion.

Then why are most religions waiting for God to cleanse the earth, and fix all of mankind's problems? Instead of waiting for a higher power to do it for us, why not take the initiative to do it ourselves? It is easy to wait for someone to do something for us, but to actually band together for the good of all mankind, and actually do something for ourselves instead of praying and waiting for a higher power to solve our problems I think would be a key issue. Is it not a better feeling when someone works hard and accomplishes a "Goal" themselves? I know that when there have been things that I have worked hard for, and busted my butt to accomplish the goal that I had in mind, whether it be something material, or something to better myself or others, that feeling of knowing Wow, I actually took the initiative, and did it myself, not only do I have the "Reward", but I also have the pleasure of Knowing that I did it myself, and I seem to appreciate it much more than if it were handed to me, which in turn makes me enthusiastic to do more. On the other hand if I were to wait for someone, or something to supply this for me, I would think, well, really no need to bother, as I know eventually someone will do it for me, and before long, I would begin to "Stagnate in my thinking and my attitude. Religion may join people together, but what does it join people together to do? Pray more together as a group for God to solve all of their problems?

    Religion

The ancient Egyptians believed that there were many gods of the dead. Osiris was the god of the underworld and prince of the dead. Isis was his wife. Anubis was the jackal-headed god of the embalmers. Horus was the god of the sky. Udjat, or the left eye of Horus, was the protector of the dead. Thoth was the ibis-headed god of the scribes. Another symbol of Thoth was the baboon. A baboon was found by archaeologists mummified in a sitting position so that it could write with ease.

In ancient Egypt it was believed that a person had a ba or soul of that was a bird with a human head. It was also believed that a person had an invisible twin called the ka. The ba kept in touch with the friends and family of the dead and the ka went back and forth from the other world where the gods and goddesses of the dead lived. The ka traveled to the other world on a boat. Small boats were put in the tombs to provide transportation for the ka. Some boats had sails for going upstream and others had rowers for going downstream. If the ba and ka could not find and recognize the body, the person could not live forever. The body was mummified so that it could be recognized by the ba and ka. The ba and ka lived in the body of the person until death, and then they lived in the tomb with the body. When a pharaoh died he turned into a god.

In order to live forever a person had to be honest. Anubis weighed the heart against the feather of truth to see if the person was honest. If the heart weighed more than the feather of truth it meant that the person was dishonest. If the person was dishonest his or her heart would be eaten by the devourer, a monster that was part alligator, part cheetah, and part lion. The person whose heart was eaten by the devourer would cease to exist and cease ever to have existed. The results were recorded by the ibis-headed god of the scribes, Thoth.

I was say most JC religions have God at the center pulling strings so people are enticed to wait on him. In other old religions it was just work you way to the after life. These people's whole life was for their death. I think you are baised. Every religion does not have a judgement day, or I should say a judgement day where things get better afterward. The first religions where not as "holy" as now. Even Judaism was more proactive before they where looking for a savior. Maybe the mistake you see is having a faith with a prophecy. If you have a faith that is in the now then they tend to be like you describe.

    No.

    One person has no religion.

    Two people, requires religion.

And religion and politics are two heads on the same sociological Hydra.

    Ethics.
