What Are Things Jehovah's Witnesses Peculiarly Do?

Using vacation time for a real vacation instead of an assembly.

Yes! That was a big one in my family. Even when we went on a vacation where we were not attending an assembly, my mother had to drag us all to a nearby kingdom hall while we were there, and if we were REALLY lucky, we got to go out in service while we were there.

It's like the JW''s just cannot have any enjoyment/relaxation time without feeling guilty.

LOL! I think your thread turned out to be the exact opposite of you intended! Am I right? If not ... my bad! :)

Well here's a shot for hopefully what you intended ...

    Sure signs they are witness:

    1) 10:30 am every Sat. and the local Dairy Queen is crammed with people dressed in Sunday clothes ... they're witnesses.

    2) They leave a 10% tip ... they're witnesses. (apologies if this was not you ... there did seem to be an awful lot of witness who fit this bill.)

    3) People are walking up and down your street in the pooring rain ... they're witnesses.

    4) They indignantly decline a cigarette while downing their sixth beer ... they're witnesses.

Most offensive of all JW sleaze is the,"Two Witness Takedown".Simply put,if a JW perpetrator stabs me in the back and the entire congregation sees it happen.

Unless Two Witnesses are willing to come foreward and testify, they pretend it never happened. No matter how wicked the offense may be.

This absurdity is an overextension of 2 Corn.13:1 and is selectivly enforced at the whim of the elders who play favorites.

One of the most peculiar traits I recall is QUESTIONS.

Always questions. Like the watchtower. It is refered to as a study. But it is full of QUESTIONS. Then you are expected to find the answers in the paragraph and proudly hold up your hand and give the answer. As if it is your own. It's NOT, it is also from the paragraph.

Study one of their books?? Guess what. It is also full of QUESTIONS.

Do something original or dress differently and what do they do? They QUESTION your spirituality.

You know? I haven't seen this, but I have been told that some JW'S become obsessed with QUESTIONS.

They continue with QUESTIONS. Instead of " hey honey, lets have a roll in the hay tonight". It will be something like, " What would be the best way to deal with my sexual urges tonight?????"

    JUST MY small CONTRIBUTION.
