ethnic means race, right? not nationality, like white europeans are the same as white british, white irish, white americans, white aussies and kiwi's are all white, whatever you call it, aryan. black african black jamaican, black whatever are black, regardless of where they come from.

a person who is all white from 1 country is still the same ethnicity as if they were all white from 10 countries, aren't they? or am i confusing things? not remembering what country your ancestors come from doesn't mean you are not part of that ethnic group and it doesn't make you part of another... and american is not an ethnic background, is it? i dunno.

just trying to be clear on what you mean by 'ethnic background'

It seems that light skinned Ex-Ws speak out more against Watchtower than people of a darker skin color.

How did you get to this conclusion?

I just dont get why people still insist on calling black Americans AFRICAN Americans. Most have no bond culturally, linguistically, nationally or religiously to Africans. I dont get why the term African American describes any black person even if they have spent generations in America.

      African American
      n.

A Black American of African ancestry.

However an Irish American or a Polish American is quite simply an American who is a native of Ireland or Poland.

      irish american

\I"rish A*mer"i*can\ A native of Ireland who has become an American citizen

Just one of those unimportant things that make you go hmmmm.
