Short hair and black nail polish doesn't look very theocratic either. Maybe that was the real reason they disfellowshipped her.

I was kicked out on 1-05-92 from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Rockland Massachusetts.

The presiding appeal Judicial committe elder adjudicated,my sin as a "Capital Offense".

Honest to God,to this very day I don't know what this "Capital Offense" was.LOL

Don't understand the logic, but yes, if the holiday is past and the candy/food item is discounted (75% is a real good bargain!), holiday food items are no longer forbidden fruit. My brother-in-law just bought some Peeps , which are only on the market here shortly before Easter and offered at discount prices for a short time after Easter (i don't like marshmallows - peeps are just sugar coated, food dyed marshmallows).

Events like this one could lead to other irrational behavior such as... the refusal to wear black socks with dress pants."

One of my pet peeves, wearing white sox with a suit. Once, in the nicest possible way, I pointed out this faux pas to an elder who continuously broke the wardrobe rule and was told I was being judgmental and bringing worldly standards to bear on the congregation.

Hello all, this is Marshall Tcharkanian, Legal Representative for On the John News, the authoring site of the article you are discussing above. First I would like to appoligize for regestering on this forum when I have absolutely no intention of postin here aside from this one message. If the administrator would like to delete me after this is read, that would be fine. I could not find a contact email address or any other alternative contact so I was left with no choice but to register. Second, I would like to thank all of you for appreciating my clients work. I would only ask two things of you and I hope that they can be taken care of as soon as possible. First, the image above is being hotlinked off of my clients server. He is constantly having bandwidth issues because of the sites popularity and does not permit hotlinking under any circumstance. My client has made it clear the he does not mind of other sites wish to use his images, so long as they are saved unto a different server and not being hotlinked off of his own. The second thing that I would ask is that you trim down my clients article that was copied and pasted above. My client is currently allowing message boards, blogs and other sites of this nature to reproduce only the first 2 or 3 paragraphs of a story and then provide a link back to the page it was taken from with a tag that reads something like "read the rest here." By reproducing my clients articles in full you leave your readers no reason to visit my clients site, and therefor causing him to not benifit from his own work. If these two issuse could be resolved by either system administrators or the original author of the post, it would be much appreicated. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at [email protected]. Thank you again for your time and for enjoying my clients work. Sorry to disturb your private message board.

I think the picture above shows how repentant this sister is : by trying to remove the offending candy piece naturally. You need prunes, a good laxative and a lot of face tensing, bowel straning to gain full repentance. She'll be sore in the morning.

I know witnesses in good standing who regularly eat chocolate bunnies meant for easter, once the feast is passed, and that's OK with everyone in the congregation.

Sorry to say this, but that's pretty bad. A link was provided to the original source, and probably like many others here, I went and checked out the site. However, I can understand the reason for not hotlinking the picture.

    Oy.

Um onthejohn...your client should restrict hotlinking...AND should say so...perhaps even a popup that says it isn't allowed.

    Sincerely,

    District Overbeer
