Seeker, I don't just "harvest" .... these same people also get an e-mail letting them know what is available on the internet for support.
They get 2 e-mails from me ... both about information ..... if I don't hear back from them they don't get any more.
I send out about 20 of these a week ..... most are as a result them coming through my website. Very few have come from other sources.

That is the very definition of "harvesting" email...
If I write to them because the have posted their details somewhere so others can contact them, and let them know who I am etc that is not harvesting.
If they write me and I reply back to them telling them all that info that is not harvesting.
And that is where the 99.99% of them come from.

Sorry, Jan, but given your past history, I'm afraid you get a shorter lease than most. It's not fair, but that's just the way it is. If you grab an email for anything other than asking a question of the poster to get more info, it's harvesting. For you, that's harvesting. Sorry, but that's reality for you.
If you'll notice, in an earlier post, when she said she had sent [email protected] a letter on June 6, I want to point out something:
No 1. I was NOT new to this forum. I've been a member since June 9 of LAST year.
No2. I did not solicit her list in any way, shape or form. She HARVESTED my email from this forum, CLAIMING not to know it was me and said that she sent me an introductory letter to her list. Nevermind that I never received said letter, even though I receive everything else sent to that address.
No3. I have visited Jan G's site once in the past three years, and only once. And I didn't leave any information on that site, unless she perchance has spyware on it or something. Now knowing her methods, I wouldn't doubt it.
As I said, I rest my case.

In this quote lies the problem. You said that you would leave her name on the list until she asked to be removed, even though she never asked to be put on it in the first place.
IMHO, you should have asked if she liked to be added and until then she would not be on the list.
