LMAO @ Corvin, not that is real TV...

I agree Doodle, I love to watch Nick at nite.... I even started watching Rosanne, and I thought I hated her ......she is annoying, but the show is good, the kids and I watch it together.

I just like to have a show that gives me that comforting feeling, a regular routine and so I watch Rosanne, Friends, Cheers, Wings, Cosby, and Sister Sister, Boy meets world on Disney. I know it seem weird to watch these last two, but my younger two got me turned on to those shows.

I used to love One Day at a Time.

I get sick of informericals on late late at nite, so I am happy with Nick at night.

I agree with Doodle about them not giving a show enough time. Some of the best long running high rated shows did not start there but won an audience late... but now before they have a chance they are knocked off!

There aren't a lot of great dramas right now either....

Corvin.. SimpleSally has a Friends thread today in honor it being the last show tonight..

I think both "Friends" and "Will & Grace" have been much funnier this year. Although you could take Will and Grace out and just have "Jack & Karen" and I would love it. Two other sitcoms we never miss are on the WB's Friday night lineup. "Reba" and "Grounded For Life" are very funny. My sweetie hates Reba's music, but loves the show.

Are animated shows sitcoms? If so, then the "Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" are both great examples of funny sitcoms. And, King of the Hill becomes a totally different show when you can understand what Boomhauer is saying.

but also enjoy her acting.. I think her show is pretty good..

not hilariously funny.. but I do enjoy watching it when I do see it.

I love Malcom in the Middle! It's probably one of the only sitcoms I actually watch any more. As far as cartoons go, I sorta like King of the Hill but like Simpsons, Futurama, and of course Family Guy better.

The only other things I watch regularly are 24 and Enterprise, but those aren't sitcoms...

Edit to add: Oh yeah, Southpark! How could I forget that?

Please tell me you watch the Brady Bunch!

I agree Doodle. But what has happened is that we cannot laugh at many things anymore without offending some group of people. You look at black sitcoms like Goodtimes, and Whats happening, the Reverend Jesse Jackson would not allow such shows to go on the air today.

Or imagine the hoopla The Honeymooners would make? Womens groups would protest Alice's going to the moon, Fat people would protest jokes aimed at Ralphs girth, and so on.

I find that the Cartoon shows are funny and go against the grain, like Family Guy, the Simpsons, and Southpark which I enjoy.

Remember the show "Rock"? It was a very positive black show that wasn't stereotypical and showed a black family with serious issues and was funny, unfortunantly it was cancelled in two years(?)

Good old shows are like the Cosby Show, Cheers, Family ties, today shows are crap.

All In The Family. Now that was a good show.

Boy the way Glen Miller played
Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us we had it made,
    Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.

    Didn?t need no welfare state.
    Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
    Those were the days.
