  Have you all read this weeks study article?

  Oh my word it is full of fear inducing tactics....doom and gloom outlooks.... Anxiety inducing methods to develop absolute control over witnesses and cripple them in any attempt to think for themselves!

  (notice I am saying "themselves" rather than "ourselves"?!)

  Huddled in a basement during the great tribulation, reading letters from the GB to provide direction.....Have a look at the picture at the end of the article (maybe someone can post it please).

  Also para 16 and 17! Wow...oh wow....

  Thoughts?

  Could you provide some direct quotes from the article or a link?

  One thing's for sure, if the Witnesses ever get into a situation where they are being persecuted by a government the Governing Body will be the first to throw them under the bus.

  From that picture of them hunkered down in a basement being read to, it looks like Jehovah's saving words might come in the form of a letter rather than from The Watchtower. 

  Presumably a BOE letter from the GB, rather than Jesus appearing in the sky or whatever.

  I wonder if it'll be mailed or if it'll be a download?

  What's in the white liquid (?) containers in the upper left of the image?

  Lots of messages going on in that picture!

  For one, notice how the two men you most think would be handy in a desperate situation 

  (what else would make everyone hang out in a basement?) are the guy in the back to the left of the speaker with his arms folded and the guy in the foreground on the right of the frame.

  But notice who is "the leader"?

  Its ill fitting sweater guy! He obviously does NOT spend time at the gym when he could be out in service. 

  He does NOT waste his time drinking protein shakes but instead hangs out at Starbucks or McDs during field service.

  ok, I kid, I kid, but not really.

  I am basing this on what I know from observing in my own Hall.

  A really nice young brother in his mid 30s but unfortunately he works out at the gym a lot! So he keeps getting passed over for privileges.  He does all the necessary things but still nada.

  Finally a new C.O. and they begrudgingly make him a M.S.

  He has been looked at askance and its pretty obvious that there is a certain jealousy underlying it all.

  That is what I thought about when I looked at the picture.
