SKIN stated, " Our WT conductor even told us that when we are hiding in this basement all elders can log into JW.ORG  to get the latest instructions from HQ. "

Oh brother.    How does this elder know that the electrical grid will even be working ? If the grid goes down, there ain't gonna be NO communication from the WT alleged " mother ship ". No computers, no nothing. The ignorance that WT leaders spreads into these people's minds is beyond unbelievable. And the fear they spread as well

All they will find at the website is some old article reposted about the Amazon rain forest or how children should listen, obey, and be blessed.  Or crap like this from the current website:

This article is, once again, full of half-truths and, as pointed out, lots of fear-mongering. Did you notice the reference to the "governing body in Jerusalem" in paragraph 4? The cited scripture says "apostles in Jerusalem". Very deceptive indoctrination at work here.

I find that picture both shocking but expected.  I think one of the things the GB has to do is inoculate their people to what is becoming evident in the media and Internet.  To me it seems that the picture is being used to "prime" JWs to believe that any criticism of the "Organization" is equal to persecution and is part of the "Great Tribulation", etc.  So, when JWs read about the lawsuits, bad press, etc. they will likely interpret that as "persecution" and create a "sense of urgency".

I could be wrong (said by no one ever in the GB)

Yeah, the guy on the right looks like Vin Diesel.

It's blatant propaganda. Be glad you can recognize it for what it is. Feel for sorry for the suckers that fall for it.

Flipper is right about the grid going down making internet access impossible of course,

This made me think about the fact that they used to have ham radios at Bethel. Anyone know if they still do?

On a side note:  I am still in awe of the "Organization's" ability to make good and bad news work for them.  If their number go up, "Jehovah is blessing us" if the numbers go down "It shows that we are being persecuted by the world and proof we are righteous".  If they hear good things in the media "it shows we are standing out in the world".  If it is media criticism and lawsuits "it is persecution of the righteous as prophesied".  If the end is delayed it shows that "Jehovah is being merciful before closing the door".  The "Organization" has a remarkable set of psychological immune systems that it uses quite effectively.
